Anyone can look like a KO artiste against weak opposition. When he fights guys who know what they are doing, he either loses, gets a draw at best, or gets a fraudulent win decision (derevyanchenko). The hype job has NEVER shown any separation at the top level.

Some people, if the roles were reversed, would say GGG lost 10-2....
Lol. As time goes on it’s harder to try and convince fans that GGG was “robbed.” At best, eye test alone, everyone respects the close fight. You GGG diehards are slowly fading away. but keep trying. all boxing is good boxing. Canelo is a beast!

You can say the same about Canelo.

You guys always **** on GGG, but you are talking about Canelo actually.

            This.

For someone who had 42 fights:

He only has a record of 5-1-1 (4 KOs) against former, current, and future world champions:
Won against Kassim Ouma, Daniel Geale, David Lemieux, Kell Brook, and Daniel Jacobs.
            Drew against Saul Alvarez.
            Lost against Saul Alvarez.

Really pathetic record. He only won against 5 current/former champions???

Errol Spence did that with only 26 fights. GGG really only padded up his "monster record" by fighting bums.

I don't even understand why he's in the current p4p list. Rolls was never a champion. Derevyachenko was never a champion, and he almost lost that one.

Thankfully fights aren’t scored with Compubox numbers.

You’re aware that Compubox numbers are just people clicking a button at ringside?

Even then, 40 punches isn’t wide at all is it.

Can use all the hypotheticals you want. Those fights were close fights and debatable.

No issue with scoring all 3 for GGG, same goes for the other way.

              That’s the reality.

Was a clear 8-4 win, both times. It is what it is.

I'm not citing compubox numbers there, though they more or less get it right in those fights. I'm citing my numbers. As I asked in another thread, I have yet to have anyone point out, in either Canelo-GGG fight, one clear round for Canelo - a clear round being a round where you outland your opponent by 2,3+ punches, and also land the best shot or shots of the round. Jacobs had a couple clear enough rounds but GGG had 5-6 in that fight himself.

Fair to say GGG 'didn't live up to expectations' in any of those fights. But to say they were 'either way' type of fights, I mean they weren't. The numbers back that up, the rounds individually back that up. It is what it is.

You can still hate on GGG if you want to, there is stuff there to critique. But saying he didn't win those fights clean, I mean there just aren't 5+ rounds for any of those guys in those fights. Derevy fight was different for sure.

If I'm such a racist who scores everything along party lines, why would I have scored Wilder-Fury 1 a draw?

And if I had an anti-Charlo agenda, wouldn't I bandwagon with people who say he lost to Korobov? That is a mainstream POV, but when I watched the fight, I saw Charlo win 7-5, or maybe it was a draw. I just didn't see the same narrative as many others when he fought Derevy - that was a very tough, close fight.

I know what those look like - you know what they look like when you've been watching boxing for a little bit, or just watching fights for a little bit. It's easy to tell what is a tough, close fight, and what is just a competitive fight with a clear winner. Could be two guys fighting on the street, or two guys in a ring/cage.

Prepare yourself for this, just the facts - here is what I do - I actually watch fights and score them according to who the better man is, in my eyes. Most fights are really not that hard to score if you do it that way. I then evaluate fighters overall based on what I see from them in the ring.

                      Pretty crazy stuff, huh?
