Spot on. Lopez was not reacting to any of lomas fancy footwork as other opponents usually did where there reactions would create openings for Loma to work his magic, Lopez took that away by standing his ground and not throwing anything that wasnt gonna work in his favour... lopez boxed a VERY intelligent fight, in doing so took the fight away from Loma, that being said Loma was clearly scared of the power and strength of lopez to take other risks of coming in... Lopez had a answer for alot of Lomas work, esp that backhand uppercut. That being said when Loma did go to work he was puttin lopez on the backfoot and lopez clearly didnt like it showed that he doesnt box well going back. I would like to see the rematch, as we know what both are capable of, itd be interesting to see what loma would do differently this time around. Would result in a much closer chess match of a fight i would think.

We’ll never know until they rematch, who’s to say if Loma started sooner that he would’ve did what he did to Lopez in the later rounds but early and then maintain that damage dealt an got a stoppage?

Loma trusted his fathers game plan too much, if there’s a next time I think Loma is smart enough to have learned from that fight that Lopez can’t fight going backwards an doesn’t respond well to being hit with combinations!

Maybe this is Haney's subtle dig at a rival, but it's still a very popular opinion of that fight. Loma, I think, just lacked confidence early and was frozen with a sort of fear. If he had had a couple of outs during that year instead of 400 day lay off then I think he would have been more confident. But whatever, everything that can be said about that fight has been said. Now it is about would can beat Teo at 135 if anyone.

Lets make it clear , lomachenko lost the fight, his strategy make him lost the fight,,,lopez did not beat him, lomachenko give him the first 6 rounds,,the following 6 rounds lomachenko got 5 out of 6 rounds or 4 out of 6 rounds..lopez didn’t win it was lomachenko strategy that beat him

Focus on Gamboa. It's not a sure win for you, IMO.

That’s your opinion bub, many have came out after watching it more than once and gave it a different score and outlook!

I understand Loma isn’t well liked cuz of his arrogance and ESPN media hype machine plus some of his extreme fans but I refuse to not look at things objectively!

Lopez is now unified 135 champ so nothing much else to do there and maybe time to move up to 140 if he's struggling to make the lower weight?
