Too left hand dominant which caused him to be too square in his upper body position, leaving him vulnerable defensively.

Imagine if he was a calf-hair more rounded. Would've gotten the decisions over Trinidad, Mayweather, Mosley, possibly Hopkins.
Then we look at like as a Top 5 ATG.

He is left handed and most of his power is in his left hand. His right hand has below average power. He scores KOs with his left hook not his right.

Some boxers be they left handed or right handed have real KO power in both hands like GGG or Canelo. Oscar only has big power in his left hand but not his right hand. His opponents know this.

Stamina is the obvious choice and the top of my list but there are a lot of interesting answers here.

He had good speed, solid power, good defense, threw nice combinations, good footwork and a great chin. I truly can't find any weaknesses in De La Hoya.

                    What were some DLH weaknesses?

                    Unusual isn't the right term.

He had no real in ring weaknesses but that, while uncommon, isn't rare either.

                    Short answer is none.

Long answer is, his weaknesses were out of the ring. If he didn't party so hard and deal with depression, and also try and box "part time" while he was a promoter, his HOF career could have been that much more magnificent.

Your assessment is also wrong in that he does nothing great, his jab and left hook were the definition of great.

Guys like Sweet Pea, Floyd, ODLH, Fury, these types of fighters beat themselves more than opponents beat them. Complete fighters all of them with no real flaws.
