No need, Lopez won clearly. Loma probably wants the rematch more than Lopez, but at this point Lopez can give the same courtesy Loma gave Salido.

Here is a little blurb from Fight news, whose scoring closely matched mine: “All three judges gave Teofimo Lopez the first seven rounds, putting Vasyl Lomachenko into a deep hole he couldn’t dig out of.
We had Lopez winning 115-114, giving Lopez rounds 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 12. We gave Loma rounds 2, 8, 9,10, 11. Round 7 was even. On our card, the fight was up for grabs entering round 12 where Lopez dug deeper to win it.”
However you slice it, Lomachenko had some clear rounds, and not just the eleventh, which must’ve been the round Julie actually woke up to watch.

Originally posted by CubanGuyNYC View PostNo, Lopez won the twelfth easily. I don’t recall my round-by-round breakdown; but Andre Ward and Teddy Atlas, to name just two, also scored it a draw. I didn’t have a problem with the decision, as I thought if anyone should’ve been given the nod it should’ve been Teofimo. It was the scores that I took issue with. Julie Lederman’s 119-109 was disgusting, and 117-111 was terrible. The only decent scorecard was 116-112.

We have to figure out the judging in this sport. There needs to be fines/punishments for such horrible cards.

7 was closer than rounds 1-6 but still should’ve gone to Teo.
Round 2- is it fair to give Loma a round because he landed a combo near the end of the round? That’s the ray leonard BS late flurry wins you the round.
In the rbr I had it 8-4 or 7-4-1 (7th round even) being as generous as I could to Loma.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 10-22-2020, 05:03 PM.

Judging is, by its very nature, subjective, so there will often be disagreements over a round or two, but this shit?
