I did explain why I think Loma was so inactive in the first half lol he was making López miss and letting him press the action to try and tire him out. Probably watched the fight with the Japanese dude and thought López would gas by the halfway point.
Special fighters don't always look special in every fight, even when they win. Crawford didn't look so special against the Lithuanian. Spence didn't look so special against Porter. Fury didn't look so special against Wallin. Usyk didn't look so special against Bellew. Mayweather didn't look so special against Maidana.
Loma lost, and still had moments where you could see how special he is. López won, yet showed nothing special.
And just to note, I've never said López isn't a good fighter, just that the narrative that López somehow put on a masterclass performance is ludicrous.Comment

I think fighters demonstrate they are "special" when its apparent they don't have their best stuff and they show grit and will to win. So most of your examples are off (not sure why Spence is mentioned because Porter is a top welter).I did explain why I think Loma was so inactive in the first half lol he was making López miss and letting him press the action to try and tire him out. So you think its a smart strategy to give away the first half of the fight in hopes that your opponent gets tired in the 2nd half and you get a TKO? With absolutely no evidence that your opponent is susceptible to getting stopped late.Comment
