Brilliant idea, especially with the drug testing, health insurance etc for retired boxers, have some sort of pension scheme where retired boxers can dip in for any sort of health issues in the future.

An interim belt is only necessary when the champion hasn't been active (due to injury). And if that happens, the interim champ should fight the champ, whenever said champ comes back from his injury. What a sad situation. Greed is killing sport.
