Jamel Herring just confirmed Frankie Gomez comeback

Oscar De La Hoya was on Instagram live earlier today, when Jamel Herring commented that “Frankie Gomez is returning. You heard it first here”. As I stated a few months ago, Frankie Gomez has been seen running and shadow boxing around the hood the last few months @ 28 yrs old he’s still young enough to make a comeback and get back in the picture @ welterweight.

He was the first guy to completely school Mauricio Herrera back in 2016. Had good potential.

He had alot of potential like Panchito Bojado. He is 28 though and it’s never too late.

That's good, this guy had so much potential and just pissed away a chance to make millions for tacos and beers.

He was a great prospect, Seen him pick apart herrera and that one NY kid who been stabbed that fought judah. but its been years since Gomez has been active so lets wait and see he might come back and be a dud.

This mofo been gone 4.5yrs. Wow it don't seem like it's been THAT long.

Cool comeback story if he can do it, but this guy never reallllllllly got past the prospect stage so idk if he can hang with legit contenders still or if he has the drive to stick with boxing when things get tough. Odds are he'll quit again I'd imagine if this is real news.

I mean, I heard rumors of him beating up fighters on the p4p list from some preeeeetty credible sources.

Freddie Roach was quoted saying he was the best talent/potential he's ever trained as a fighter. Apparently had a mind of his own and with genius boxing IQ.

He has or at least had the talent. Hopefully he’s finally found the dedication, wouldn’t bank on it though.
