Wow...I used to respect Loma, you know...He said pre-fight that he was 100% health & now his camp is saying he injured his shoulder...He got beat fair & square, I don’t want to hear any excuses!

Well, Loma didn't speak about any injury. Light echoes of Pacquiao and Mayweather. But yes, Lopez deserved the win. Against a lesser fighter, Loma would've won.

Shoulder operation after being defeated just like Pacman vs Floyd. The difference was Floyd is top gun and Lopez is not. And Loma got shot with pain killers and Pacman was not allowed pain killers. Loma avoided the smaller older Pacman at 140 and suffered embarrassment with trash talkers- Lopez father and son.

Loma threatened to retire if they postponed the fight so he could get his shoulder fixed. At least give him that respect not to punk out, haters.


With that said, the shoulder didn't make the fight. The game plan was awful and that's it.

He has publicly stated that he believes that your body starts to go downhill around age 32 anyways so I only expected him to fight for 2-3 more years tops. Given that he is injury prone now and it is the same shoulder that is injured I doubt we will see him fight more than 2 more fights. Maybe he tries to unify at 130 before retiring since it is pretty clear that Lopez will not give him the rematch and unless he decides to vacate and move up, Loma has no way of getting the 135 belts before he does retire.

I said when he injured his shoulder 2 years ago that it was a career threatening injury, it was and is. Morons suggesting that the injury was invented or that he should have made this weakness public BEFORE the fight are just that, morons.

The one thing that is absolutely certain is that Loma did not injure it throwing a punch in the first seven rounds.
