Daniel Jacobs had been a KO victim before and knocked down by bums, and also had a loss to GGG. He was never elite, just hyped up to make GGG and Canelo look better than they were.

The fact that they were so willing to fight Jacobs but wouldn't give the undefeated and superior black guys a fight should tell you all you need to know.

Nah Lara is my guy but he lost that one. He was up 5-3, maybe even 5-2. But he coasted the last 4 rounds and Canelo snagged them.

Roy Jones was all legs. Lopez is nearly a plodder. Another comparison I saw was someone comparing Lopez to Duran. That one was especially weird.

Jacobs is elite. Imho he beat GGG more convincingly than Canelo, which I thought lost the first and maybe a draw in the second. Jacobs showed his chin quality when facing the world class fighters. If you believe this why when Jacobs confronted Mall about the "Beep Beep" comment (roadrunner joke in reference to Jacobs changing promoters) he denied it and never made any attempt to fight him. Jacobs is elite and proved he could share the ring with any champion.

Jacobs is not A fight, he is a solid B.

I'm not biased, so I ain't gonna defend Charlo. He definitely ducked Jacobs, didn't want none of that smoke.

Why he ducked him though is beyond my comprehension. Aint no way Jacobs outboxes Charlo and definitely no way he outslugs him.

To this day I will never understand why he ducked him.

Does it mean its okay for GGG and Canelo to duck him? No of course not.

Just as it aint okay for him to duck Jacobs (again, for reasons that are beyond my comprehension), it isn't okay for Nelo and G to duck him.

Tim, I really liked you as a fighter and I think you’re an excellent commentator but easy with the Roy Jones comparisons for Lopez for now. Let’s see what happens when Teo moves up and fights boxer/punchers more his size. It was a great performance and top notch win by Lopez, but Teo faced zero resistance the first 6 rounds and was fighting a smaller guy.
