Dont see the comparison at all. Closest comparison id make is probably primeish Fernando Vargas.

There is no comparison . Roy was super athletic, could aviod getting hit. He was unorthodox because of his reflexes. Teo is a straight up and down boxer puncher. I think Teo is a more athletic Spence. He is quicker and has better one punch power too. Teo won the fight all credit to him, but he has to sustain this now . He needs to beat Haney, Tank, Some of these guys. Just becuase you beat Loma doesnt mean you are top 10 pound for pound either. He needs to stay active and have some longevity.Comment

I saw some extremely savvy aspects of Lopez on 2nd viewing. He's not close to Mayweather physically, but he has some of that same mind for the game. Using the jab to disrupt his opponent's rhythm and timing all fight perfectly is a hallmark of a Mayweather fight. Don't even have to score with it for it to devastate the opponent's offense. Going to the body when an opponent goes head hunting is also a Mayweather specialty that I saw Lopez execute perfectly.
He was really in charge with his footwork too, the ref warned him a couple times about getting his legs tangled with Loma, but he wouldn't let Loma get his lead foot outside his lead foot without moving his foot into Loma's to throw off his balance, it was brilliant and perfect. Saw Mayweather control fights like this for 2 decades.
He has some holes in his defense, and his physical gifts are nowhere near Mayweather's, but he's got some of that sweet science boxing savvy down and only at 23 yers old, that's impressive.Last edited by Johnny2x2x; 10-20-2020, 09:40 AM.Comment

What do you mean "zero in common"?
NSB just said Lopez pitched a shutout against the #1P4P fighter.
Roy Jones frequently pitched shutouts against top fighters.
So by that logic, he's a young Roy Jones. Right?Comment

Ok so now that you have established that what now? Will you get a raise as a janitor?
Nice breakdown thoughComment

Tim, makes the old HBO crew seem like neutral Switzerland. I've always defended Bradley and over looked his bias but I'm forced to turn the volume completely off.
Oh, and for the record...comparing Lopez to Roy Jones because he beat Commey and a guy that is naturally two weight classes lower is f*#king crazy and delusional.
I sorry but I'm done, I can't defend this guy anymore.Comment
