This is a step in the right direction, though. This will be his toughest fight to date. At least he's trying to step up his level of opposition. I hope he fights Margarito...Originally posted by keystone30packi like williams

Dude, Margarito is an established champion at least. Williams has not done a thing even in comparison to Margarito, and that says something consdering the low esteem in which you seem to hold Margarito.Originally posted by omegamalekinda sounds like how margarito was acting trying to fight mayweatherComment

yeah, but it is bit absurd that everyone wants to fight Oscar and expects to get huge amounts of money like they deserve it: Oscar can give them what he wants, if they don't like it,
"F" off
Oscar is the one that draws the crowds and sells the PPVs...remember Shane and even Tito tried to get bigger money, but Oscar laughed at it; by turning down his offer would only get them less in their next fights.
Now, fighting Oscar will get you the biggest payday of your career, but you have little say in how much you get, you are Oscars *****...that includes little Jr. himself: Floyd is almost acting like they are going to go 50/50 with their possible fight

he is example of how little a lot of people watch boxing, and how much time they spend reading the hype.
paul williams is a classic case of a guy who went from being underrated to being grossly overrated all in the course of one fight.
he was a slight favorite to beat walter mattyse, almost a pick em fight between two undefeated prospects, people said williams hadnt fought anyone good and didnt know if he could take a shot... seemingly he answered those questions with an impressive fight.
people are having a natural reaction to this guy, he is a prototypical weterweight, his size and southpaw style make him a matchup problem for almost anyone and therefore an intriguing prospect in a jam packed division. he throws over 100 punches a round, something people just love to point out, but doesent seem to have that one punch to take a guy out. i dont think margarito is having nightmares about this guy but im sure he is thinking to himself "why do i gotta be the one?" cause surely none of the other champions are looking to fight paul williams themselves. paul williams doesent play much defense and i dont think he could beat margarito personally. its a bad match for williams cause his game is to wear the other guy down with constant pounding, and i dont think he can beat margarito at it quite yet.
hes a 4-1 favorite to beat sharmba mitchell now, after being pick em for mattyhse, which shows you a lot of people have jumped on the bandwagon. he should win the fight easily, no matter the odds, and if he doesent it should set off an alarm, i think he should have one more fight before margarito.
knives says cintron > williams
i say let em fight, that would be a good meaningful matchup
haha its called progression, and all fighters who can fight eventually go through it, you had to think people where goin to jump on his bandwagon after coming off a fight pinning two up and coming prospects with undefeated records and KO power against 1 another! In that figth Williams proved alot of things 1 that he can fight, 2 that his a workaholic, and 3 he can take a punch! The guy isnt the best but if he keeps working and getting better he could be 1 of the best.
And as for Margarito instead of fighting scurbs like Rivera or Corley or whoever his next opponent will be, he needs to step up to the challenge as he says PBF isnt and fight Williams!Comment
