You people are hilarious. Complaining about $20, if they had started the service at $20 you would have never complained. Why dont you get mad at literally every store cause they dont sell items at black friday prices year round.Comment

Their whole thing at first was ‘PPV fights without the PPV price.’
They haven’t put on a whole hell of a lot of PPV-level fights, especially the last year or so. At best their best stuff is what you used to get on HBO.
I wouldn’t necessarily balk at $20/month if they offered at least one minor PPV-level offering every month or two with one big one every 4-6 months. But they’re not even close to that. A lot of their ‘better’ stuff isn’t even as good as what you get for free on ESPN or PBC.
The other thing is in the U.S. they offer nothing else that I want. If I was going to pay for a service I’d get ESPN where I get all the other sports.Comment

Isn’t the $100 for the full year still an option yet too? I did that last year but didn’t renew. I’m not sure if I want to renew yet since a lot of the fights they have coming up don’t appeal to me too much. Also, isn’t DAZN in bad shape currently? I don’t want to give them $100 than all of a sudden they suddenly go out of business.Comment

I didn't even realize the annual is still $99. I thought this guy was saying they went up. They've been at $20 for a while. I've gotten my money's worth with them.
Dude we're in a pandemic. Boxing has ****** as a whole this past year. I think DAZN did a really poor job adapting to the current environment with the pandemic, but I mean, no one has really been putting on great fights.Their whole thing at first was ‘PPV fights without the PPV price.’

For the first year ($100), I got both AJ-Ruiz fights...easily worth $40 bucks. Canelo-Jacobs - $20 easily. Canelo-Kov - $20. And a good mix of some other fights. GGG was in there once I think, Usyk, Haney, Vergil Ortiz. I mean it was definitely worth the price.
They need to adapt though, that is for sure. I don't really care if they succeed as much as I want something similar to succeed. I don't have cable so I don't mind the app for the extras they provide even if they aren't much. The highlights and old fights are fine. And the Mannix show is watchable.Comment

We haven’t been in a pandemic for a whole year and they fell off more than a year ago — that might not be fair, as they didn’t really reach enough of a height to fall off from.I didn't even realize the annual is still $99. Yes, Joshua-Ruiz, but the first was more of a throwaway defense against a tubby until AJ managed to lose it, then the second was only considered viewable because of the first — and it wasn’t really watchable as they were in a 30-foot ring with AJ playing tag ... not to mention I have real problems supporting a company that decided to embrace Saudi blood money.
Much of the rest has been A-side vs. WTF-is-he.
And while yes we’ve been in a pandemic since March that doesn’t mean I’m going to give money away. I don’t feel sorry for some billionaire-funded venture thus want to ‘help them out.’ They are offering a service that on the whole isn’t worth what they’re charging (for me anyway).
What happened to ‘Eddie is going to sign top USA fighters and bring us the fights we want to see?’ Never happened.
‘PPV fights without the PPV price’ is something I can get behind, but they’re not making PPV-level fights right now, nor, really, have they been doing so on a regular basis all along.
Their best stuff is the UK fare and I can get that on YouTube within minutes of the fight being over, so that doesn’t really do anything to move the needle for me.Comment
