It was a steal back when you had NFL, EPL, Rugby, and 1-2 good fights a month. I wouldn't pay for it now though.Comment

Dude you sound like you are in favor of paying PPV prices for sh.it fights. I'll enjoy paying $100 for a year's worth of fight, a lot of them good, and many of them great. You guys sound ridiculousWe haven’t been in a pandemic for a whole year and they fell off more than a year ago — that might not be fair, as they didn’t really reach enough of a height to fall off from.
Yes, Joshua-Ruiz, but the first was more of a throwaway defense against a tubby until AJ managed to lose it, then the second was only considered viewable because of the first — and it wasn’t really watchable as they were in a 30-foot ring with AJ playing tag ... not to mention I have real problems supporting a company that decided to embrace Saudi blood money.
Much of the rest has been A-side vs. WTF-is-he.
And while yes we’ve been in a pandemic since March that doesn’t mean I’m going to give money away. I don’t feel sorry for some billionaire-funded venture thus want to ‘help them out.’ They are offering a service that on the whole isn’t worth what they’re charging (for me anyway).
What happened to ‘Eddie is going to sign top USA fighters and bring us the fights we want to see?’ Never happened.
‘PPV fights without the PPV price’ is something I can get behind, but they’re not making PPV-level fights right now, nor, really, have they been doing so on a regular basis all along.
Their best stuff is the UK fare and I can get that on YouTube within minutes of the fight being over, so that doesn’t really do anything to move the needle for me.

I like DAZN and I think the quality of their fights will go up once the pandemic is dealt with but I’m not gonna watch on my cell phone and I’m not gonna part with $400 hard earned cash for a smart television until I need to.Comment

No, giving money to dazn for free TV-grade fights is ridiculous.
Who said I bought PPVs? Last one of those I saw I went to a sports bar, paid no cover, got some nachos and drinks with friends and had a great time.
If a PPV fight comes along that’s worth my money, I’ll plunk it down. But there’s been nothing on dazn in the last year that I’d pay $20 for a month for nor $100 for a year.
If you like what they’re selling, by all means go ahead.
But they are NOT offering PPV-level fights and events. And they don’t, in the U.S., give me anything else I want (sorry, no darts or Euro soccer for me) so why would I give them money?
(BTW, be wary of the per-year buy ... or good luck getting the refund if and when they fold. Their plan was to use boxing to get a foothold in the USA, which hasn’t exactly worked, and then grab MLB or NFL or some piece of the real major spots pie here and they haven’t even managed to get any college conference sports. Dazn is dead in the water in America and, from what I understand, heading that way worldwide.)Comment
