Lomachenko said he thought he won the fight but didn't call for a rematch

He didn't call for a rematch but his fans are calling for one. If you say you won the fight and you truly think you won the fight you're going to say you want an immediate rematch. He said he'll go home and watch the tape and discuss his future plans with his team. He doesn't even want a rematch so I don't know why his fans are saying there should be a rematch.

Dude was really hurt on the body especially that last round. Hard to ask for a rematch when hurting like that.

If Loma won and deserves a rematch then why isn't he asking for a rematch???

Lopez is acting like he's the second coming of Manny Pacquiao! LOL

Lopez was acting gun shy HIMSELF with a guy he was clearly bigger and stronger than!!!

Lopez is acting like he DOMINATED lomachenko...Lopez NEVER (i repeat NEVER) landed a big, dramatic combination on Lomachenko... You know, the sort of combinations a prime Manny Pacquiao would be throwing THROUGHOUT a fight without FEAR. The only one landing the big combinations was Lomachenko when he finally realized he needed to turn it up.

Lopez was landing on Lomachenko the way Canelo was landing on Erislandy Lara... Another close fight with BS scorecards.

Lopez needs to shut up all his doubters and come in strong in the rematch. Lomachenko will obviously need to start fast. The rematch will be guaranteed to be fireworks because now Loma knows he can't trust the judges at all... Which might lead to him getting KO'd but at least we'll have ourselves a real fight.

I remember when AJ lost badly to Ruiz, everybody was on Ruiz to grant him a rematch because this, that, and the third. And that was a horrible loss, Loma just lost a close one for pissing away half the fight. Why aren't people saying the same thing? A rematch would be crazy as well, I think Loma wouldn't give a single round away and Teo will be even more confident. It'd be a classic.

In fact two of the judges were ridiculously generous to Lopez and the judge that had it 116 to 112 had it right. lopez clearly won the first 7 rounds by throwing and landing far more punches. Loma finally went to work in rounds 8 9 10 and 11 and clearly won those 4 rounds by landing more and better punches and backing up Lopez. Lopez had a great last round and clearly won round 12. Andre Ward had the fight a draw and boxing scene scored it 116 to 112 for Lopez. It was a close enough fight to justify a rematch.

Truly DOES dominate Manny Pacquiao with a legit 8-4 MINIMUM outcome, unquestionable, clearly outboxed, no sane person believes that Manny came even close to winning that fight. Manny is not fighting like he should, it's just wide and the Greatest Offensive Fighter is completely nullified. It'd be hard to sell a rematch based on that outcome.

Texts Stephen A. Smith and says he's open to a rematch because he wants to milk it. Smith reads it on ESPN First Take so it's legit.

Manny comes out with an excuse about a shoulder as to why he lost, refuses to acknowledge he just didn't show up and his fans buy into the excuse despite Hopkins stating that he couldn't have been injured before the fight and Manny saying he wasn't on a form he completed.

            Floyd:

            Also Floyd:

So basically, Manny shortchanged himself, and he's just in denial. Manny's fans continue (even now) to say that Floyd is/was a coward that ducked a rematch over a "controversial" fight. Especially when he beat McGregor.

            Marquez
Puts Manny Pacquiao to sleep like very few other fighters have. It's decisive, there's no conspiracy here, but this is fresh off getting robbed essentially 3 times and Marquez was frustrated.

Manny calls for a rematch. Dinamita refuses on First Take, saying he's proven what he needed to prove, then retires for good.

NSB says that Marquez is a coward for running from a rematch, he cheated with drugs, he tripped Manny, Manny's mind was on Floyd, cramps, etc.

            Bradley
Bradley basically completely shuts out Jesse Vargas over 12.

In the 12th round Bradley gets sloppy and gets caught with a wobbling shot and goes on the defensive.

Ref (Pat Russell) makes a sign like he's stopping Bradley, but he misheard the clacks and basically called an end to the fight according to the time.

Bradley refuses a rematch because the fight was otherwise dominant.

NSB calls Bradley a coward and accuses both him and Pat Russell of robbing Vargas of a "possible" win. Despite Bradley never getting seriously hurt besides that shot.

            Fast forward.

            Teofimo Lopez
Beats Lomachenko because Loma literally throws nothing for 6 rounds. A case can be possibly made for 7-5 or 8-4 MAX for Teofimo, but a draw is possible depending on swing rounds. In other words, closer than what NSB claims (but they're basically punishing Loma for not showing up. Don't punish Manny, but definitely punish Loma).

Cuts an interview and completely shuts down ANY possibility of a rematch saying it's not worth it. This is BEFORE Loma came out and said he felt he had done enough and didn't understand the lopsided cards.

NSB agrees with Teo and says there's no point - despite the fact that ultimately, Teo didn't really do anything of note. Rematch clause is moot because in-house fights can be made without a clause if both fighters want it.

With Floyd: "Manny didn't engage because he would have got countered to hell, but he deserves a rematch because his shoulder doe! Floyd's a coward!"

With Marquez: "Memo Heredia! Marquez ran from Manny like a coward!"

With Bradley: "Ref saved Bradley from getting KNOCKED OUT!! Coward for not taking that rematch!"

But with Teo: "Eh, Loma only did pitty pat jabs, same outcome, no point".

Call me curious, but it sure sounds like people want Teo to run away with the win and not risk taking an L like what happened with Wilder.

First of all it's only been a day. Less than. Look how long it took Wilder to call for his - and he still hasn't shown up since. That took weeks.

Second, Floyd offered the rematch before Manny asked. That happens when you're a confident winner of a decision and you want to bank more money beating the same guy again (Steve Collins, for example).

If you feel you won you say you want a rematch right there. He wants to go home and watch the tape. He doesn't want a rematch.

Highly doubt he wouldn't although you raise a fair point. And we don't know what conversations are being had behind closed doors where it matters, not every fighter runs to rant on twitter.

I had it 7 rounds to 5 Teo But the score was only part of the win for Teo. He OUTBOXED Loma AND HE BEAT THE SHEEIT OUT OF HIM. 3:0 Teo!
