Lopez needs to rematch Lomachenko and put away all doubt

That was a CLOSE fight, period. Neither guy was landing much of anything in the first few rounds. BOTH guys were hesitant... Lopez was just slightly less hesitant...

Lopez is acting like he's the second coming of Manny Pacquiao! LOL

Lopez was acting gun shy HIMSELF with a guy he was clearly bigger and stronger than!!!

Lopez is acting like he DOMINATED lomachenko...Lopez NEVER (i repeat NEVER) landed a big, dramatic combination on Lomachenko... You know, the sort of combinations a prime Manny Pacquiao would be throwing THROUGHOUT a fight without FEAR. The only one landing the big combinations was Lomachenko when he finally realized he needed to turn it up.

Lopez was landing on Lomachenko the way Canelo was landing on Erislandy Lara... Another close fight with BS scorecards.

Lopez needs to shut up all his doubters and come in strong in the rematch. Lomachenko will obviously need to start fast. The rematch will be guaranteed to be fireworks because now Loma knows he can't trust the judges at all... Which might lead to him getting KO'd but at least we'll have ourselves a real fight.

Just for argument's sake, when punches on the arms, shoulder and gloves causes one to become so tentative that they lose the first 7 rounds, those are still noteworthy punches. You can't all of a sudden dismiss them because they didn't land the way you wanted.

That said Lopez actually landed his share of clean shots, especially to the body.

Yeah, I'm dumbfounded why people are so against Teo not honoring Loma with a rematch.

I remember when AJ lost badly to Ruiz, everybody was on Ruiz to grant him a rematch because this, that, and the third. And that was a horrible loss, Loma just lost a close one for pissing away half the fight. Why aren't people saying the same thing? A rematch would be crazy as well, I think Loma wouldn't give a single round away and Teo will be even more confident. It'd be a classic.

They only doubt is because people refuse to believe that Loma lost.

Loma with some adjustments can win a rematch but it means he has to go into the meat grinder.

He def looked noticeably bigger than Loma. The rematch is in a way more intriguing than the first fight because we know now that:

            A) Lomachenko is capable of turning it up and lighting Lopez up with big combinations

            B) Lopez seemed able to take Lomachenko's power fairly easy and was able to come back very strong in the 12th round after losing the 11th.

The rematch will start right where the first fight left off....
Lomachenko knows he cannot simply box Lopez to a decision... He has NO CHOICE but to risk all and fight Lopez...Lopez has the speed and boxing IQ to return fire but he hasn't shown the ability (or has the stamina) to continuously land and throw big cominations.... He seems he's waiting for an opening while Loma is engaging him to land a big quick counter... He does not seem to possess to the ability of a Manny Pacquiao to rush and create the action.

Because of this, I think we will see the best version of Lomachenko we have ever seen. As we know, Lomachenko ALWAYS avenges his losses (minus Salido who never wanted a rematch)...

Exactly... A rematch is even more intriguing than their first fight.... Lomachenko isn't going to want to give Lopez an inch... And we know Lopez comes back strong when he's getting beaten (the 12th round)... We know what we're going to get this time.... No feeling out rounds... just two super high level fighters going at it until one gets the KO... unless they both prove to have granite chins.

Loma was the a side going into this fight. He didn’t give Teo a rematch clause because he assumed he’d win.

Cool but then he lost. Now some are acting like Teo owes Loma a rematch.

IMO he doesn’t. If Loma wants a rematch, go beat Haney and become the #1 ranked LW.

The lack of a rematch is on Loma. He should’ve secured a rematch clause in case he lost.

You can make the argument Loma lost by a round or two at MOST. I had the fight a draw. The scorecards were a disgrace.

My point, however, is that Lopez did not win his crown in thoroughly dominating fashion. There IS lingering doubt on whether he is better that Lomachenko.... Does a more fired up Lomachenko white wash Lopez (rounds 8 to 11) or does this just draw Lomachenko into eventually getting knocked out?

So he must beat Lomachenko twice? Why?
