Berlanga is about 187 in the ring and oversizing guys at 168. The young bucks are always able to drain heavy. But again, Berlanga hasn't fought anybody notable. Ideally just to get praise, ideal matchmaking, set him up a former Champ or contenders that have had title shots before but failed. The guys he faced we know nothing about nor their camps along with the covid year. Berlanga is just shooting hail mary's. A lot of boxers can do that. Put him in there with a guy with good defense and you'll see Berlanga tire out by the 5th round should he continue doing strikes like that. Besides... this is Top Rank.. =)

A guy like this has natural power. Time to focus 100% on boxing skills and defensive fighting. His power is there, no need to try and prove it anymore. He gets nothing out of blasting guys out of there in 1 round. Time to get the rounds in, and learn skills.

How bout any of those I drew a red square next to their names:

It's too risky for Top Rank to put Berlanga in with any of the guys you suggested until he has at least 2 more wins because he only has about 8 full rds worth of pro experience. They should give him someone like Vaughn Alexander or Denis Douglin in December then keep stepping up his competition each fight. If that goes well he should be able to fight the guys you mentioned by next summer

My exact point.
I have seen too many of these types who at some point run out of ideas if they cannot knock out an opponent and eventually get knocked out themselves and are never heard from again!!
