Those first 6 rds wasnt just loma trying tire out teo, he most likely felt teos strength/power and became cautious of being countered by the bigger/stronger fighter. It happens, just as recently as Garcia vs Spence and probably why we will never see Canelo vs Beterbiev eventhough canelo is the superior boxer...but that's just my 2 cents.
It's his ceiling I agree but this David vs Goliath stuff we kept hearing was ridiculous.

I've never heard anyone here term it as such but even at these weights, fighters cutting all hell to just make the weight and hydrating 15lbs+ is a huge difference to a fighter hardly cutting and adding a few lbs....I'm not here to make excuses for loma, exceptional boxer, but theres a reason fighters do it and clearly it's to have a size/strength advantage, why else would they?

It's nothing new. I see a bigger size difference between fighters at 154 all the time. Hell, look at Makabu compared to the rest of the cruiserweights.

Teo mixing it up at 140 with the likes of taylor, zepeda, regis, ramirez and maybe even mikey would make for some badazz fights

              "He was too small."

A few of my former girlfriends said the same thing about me

Loma never looked like the next level dynamo at lightweight like he was hyped to be, but it's arguably his most accomplished division - it's the only division in which he's unified. He lost to Salido at featherweight and didn't rematch him when he moved up to super featherweight and that was the most meaningful fight to be made, nor did he face Berchelt when that was arguably the most dangerous and stylistically compelling fight to be made. Defeating Lopez was supposed to be the fight that cemented his legacy.

Why cant people say loma was too small? People did it immediately for Rigo after the loma fight. LOL.

Rigo jumped how many divisions for that fight? Two? Loma was a unified champion at the weight.
