Change My Mind: Loma is the New Wilder

    Change my mind:

Teofimo Lopez just did to Vasyl Lomachenko what Tyson Fury did to Deontay Wilder last February.

In other words, just as Tyson Fury took the fight to Deontay and brutalized him (something almost nobody expected), Teofimo Lopez outboxed and outclassed Vasyl Lomachenko last night (something almost nobody expected).

Both Wilder and Lomachenko are on their downswing and have now lost their sense of aura and mystique.

Fury and Lopez, respectively, laid down the blueprints for beating those guys.

I’m not saying either of them are done, but I am saying that they will never be looked at the same way again, no matter what happens.

And oh yeah, Lomachenko is my favorite boxer. I love the guy but I have to admit the dude got dismantled last night.

Absoloutely not, its not even comparable, in the slightest. Loma wasnt beat comprehensively, his doubt and inactivity played a large part in his loss.

Noone should even waste their braincells trying to explain anything to you

Wilder was unbeaten but loma had already been beaten and had gone very close with linares and luke

loma put up a good fight against teo too

wilder still has his punch and loma can still dominate at 130, i think

If Loma disappeared for 8 months, before making 5/6 major excuses, after chatting BS for weeks leading up to his last fight then I would say maybe.

Loma a 3 weight world champion in 16 fights. Anybody looking to crap on him is just embarrassing themselves. He lost, but it was close in the end. The elite at 135 seem to be smart enough and big enough to force him off his game but the guy isn't a natural lightweight.

Wilder is just a fraud dosser duck job

Wilders win over Ortiz is better than any loma win too

Jeez you’re a casual. Loma finished strong on his feet and should have been a draw. Wilder got his ass handed to him and TKO’d. This fight is closer to De La Hoya/Trinidad but in reverse....Oscar tried to coast for the last four rounds and it cost him the fight. Loma waited until the 7th round to step on the gas and it was too little too late.
