    You're missing the analogy. The point is, the scorecards were too wide there even if you somehow had Oscar winning; he didn't win 8 rounds.

    Scorecards were too wide here, Lopez did NOT win more than 8 rounds.

    Bernard was spot on with his prediction - a forced passing of the torch.
    But the reason for the wide cards last night was because Loma didn’t do anything for the first half of the fight. Judges get caught in the early narrative of the fight.
    The reason for the cards being wide for Oscar vs Whitaker is De La Hoya was the next boxing superstar and they wanted to build him up with a big early win.

      Which is the point I'm making - the same applied with Teo, like Bernard said, they needed Teo to take the win.

      It would NOT surprise me if Lederman already had a card filled out by Round 2.
