He lost 6 of the first 7 rounds. All Lopez had to do was avoid any knockdown and win 1 round and he wins by 2 points. Loma has only himself to blame although the wide margin of 2 of the judges scorecards was off. If they rematch, I expect Loma to come on very early and take it. Lopez is a warrior so it will not be easy.

In a world where dancing is prized so much you take off from boxing entirely to learn traditional folk dances, sure, but in the real world where you actually have to punch a fool to win a fight Lomachenko not only lost but was dominated. Period.
Mother ****er seems to think boxing is west side story

Loma did much better from Rd. 7-11, definitely lost 1-5 and 12! Draw at best! Gave too much respect to Lopez's power! You would've thought he was fighting a seasoned vet instead of a 23 yr. old w/ 15 fights! If he has to fight that cautious, then 135 is not for him! Lomachenko vs. Berchelt/Valdez winner, Stevenson vs. Herring, winners face each other! MAN UP!

I think Loma clearly won 2 rounds but that's about it. The first half of the fight he did nothing more than walk around the ring and made Lopez stalk him. The way Loma fought, it's as if he was banking on KOing him and not caring about points.
Lopez won fair and square.

I thought Lopez won the 12th and probably the 7th. Loma had good moments but was playing catchup and never got there. Maybe he thinks he won, but (without rewatching the fight) it seemed he fought the 11th with a real sense of urgency, so much so that he wasn't able to maintain it in the final round.
Loma reminded me of Hopkins in the first Taylor fight. Sitting there watching you wonder how they can't realise they are losing themselves the fight by doing so little for so long. He threw about 10 punches per round for half the fight. Was he hoping Teo would get frustrated and run head first into a big shot? I'm sure there's a lot of thinking, planning that went into his tactics but if they can't see that things didn't work out it doesn't bode well for the future
