The body, the body, the body.

Loma doesn't like it to the body.

Teo established that early with right hands downstairs and even a jab.

And, whenever Loma tried to make things close, he'd back Loma off with good body shots.

He'd have stopped Loma if he'd been able to get more of them in.

No excuses, if he was worried about the 14 month layoff he should’ve taken a tuneup fight, which if I was his manager would be exactly what I would of prescribed.

I’m not sure why he waited so long, but someone who is just in there to survive, doesn’t start trying to walk down the bigger man.

Tim was on the money when he said Loma body is a juicy target

Torso too big for his size + short arms that are held very high

Idk wtf happened those first 6 rounds. I know there's being patient and having the first 2 rounds to study but he barely threW ANYTHING. HORRIBLE gameplan and also like you said I think the gameplan with teo being faster than he thought bothered took him a little longer to get off. Now those scorecards 119 and 117 were outrageous tho and so was wards 95-95 at one point. I had lopez 116-112 maybe 115-113. Loma shoulda started 2 or 3 rounds earlier. Nothing but props to Lopez tho. Loma really disappointed me with his lack of doing ANYTHING .

Where Loma made a mistake - and Lopez's power may have been to blame - is that when Lopez was flat out tired in Round 11, Loma should and could have gotten him out of there.
Great analysis i thought he had lopez in that 11th lopez looked exhausted and he didn't step on the gas. Loma has been a slow started but not that slow. I mean he landed what 2 5 3 punches and threw like 10 punches in most of the first 6 rounds? It was a bad plan. They shoulda started picking it up by the 4th at the most.

It was a gameplan, not momentary fear. you're not afraid of someone and then all of a sudden stalk them. It was just an incorrectly timed gameplan. He respected Lopez but wanted some steam to come off his shots. He became perhaps too aggressive in the championship rounds.

TS: yeah I think the layoff had something to do with it, but it's not the main issue. I really think it was a poorly timed gameplan that otherwise worked when the other part of it was implemented. I think the layoff had an effect on the gameplan but Loma is a pro, he should know every round counts.

I think Loma thought he could outbox Teo and style on him hence the ******ed 1st 6 rounds

Loma treated Teo like a slugger. Teo turned out to be a versatile boxer-puncher

Whoever was effectively applying pressure would be winning

He wears his trunks too low...they’re below his bellybutton. It’s a detriment, because most referees tend to let shots on the belt line go because of where most fighters wear their trunks, and those might be straying low by comparison.
