I really think Loma was afraid of Lopez. All that bs he talked about teaching him a lesson and hurting him, he was just trying ot hype himself up. He encountered a guy that wasn't afraid of him and threw punches back. He wasn't used to being stalked by a bigger guy that was just as fast as him and hit harder. He was afraid. His dumbazz fanbase are eating crowComment

lol that's it?
Loma fought Rigondeaux who was:
a) 38-year-old or something
b) past his prime
c) a bantamweight (three weigh classes smaller than Loma)
d) very inactive - 3 rounds in 2 years! -
And people thought it meant Loma was better and gave him credit. Now imagine if this fight happens two years later, with probably a lesser version of Loma and a more seasoned Lopez...Comment

Nah. Loma's always been a slow starter.
To me, it looked like Loma waited for Lopez to tire himself out or frustrate himself into making mistakes. Which didn't happen until round 7. Which is where Loma turned it up.
Where Loma made a mistake - and Lopez's power may have been to blame - is that when Lopez was flat out tired in Round 11, Loma should and could have gotten him out of there.Comment

Loma really has a process of hand, body and foot feints that he uses to get reactions which allows him to get to positions ahead of his opponents. He was never really able to get that started so he was forced to take it to Lopez. It was an uncomfortable fight for him, but he showed heart and grit. He started too late tho.Comment
