Nah, but I think Ruiz gave Toney his toughest fight at the weight and people don't like to admit it. I had it closer than the judges, who were bound to favour the more box office friendly Toney. You could say Rahman pushed him closer, but Rahman fought a fat bastard Toney.Originally posted by Gunstar1Lol, you really don't believe that's the reason Toney beat Ruiz???
Toney def needs to train hard for the rest of his career, which is not much left. If Toney comes out of shape, then I agree he may lose the fight, but I still think a fat out of shape Toney might still beat Peter.
Toney should win this one no doubt, but his balance was **** last time out.Comment

Will actually Toney was not 100% against Ruiz, he fought most of the fight with one hand, but I didn't see that fight being close like the Rahman fight.Originally posted by !! I also think that Ruiz did a lot better than people give him credit for.I still had Toney winning the fight. But it was close in my opinion.I feel the same way with the Judah/Mayweather fight.Originally posted by !! Also you keep mentiong Ruiz, guess what we all saw the fight and saw Toney beat Ruiz easily with one hand.
i dont know why u bring up wlad, what does he have to do with toney/peter, but OK... wlad has beaten peter, mccline and byrd.... those three are better than anyone toney has beaten at heavyweight..Comment

people seem to forget how bad toney looked in his last fight and the fact he's yet to face a big powerful heavyweight like peter. sure he's much more skilled than peter. but the huge difference in physical strength and punching power could even that out. Im still leaning toward toney to eke out a decision but it wouldnt surprise me if peter pushes him around enough to take a decisionOriginally posted by King Jaffe JofferIs this a joke? I like Peter but JT is gonna give him a boxing lesson.
Peter has 3 punches in his offense
1. Wild wide winging left
2. Wild wide winging right
3. Chopping club to the back of the head
Toney has more talent in his pinky than Peter. Peter has ZERO defense and will be countered all night. Toney may not hurt Peter but Peter will be embarressed. Peters handspeed is booty cheddar and Toney will see everything Sam throws. Peter will be frustrated as hell by the 3rd-4th round by Toneys movement, style, and most of all clean leather he will be eating while unable to return. I never seen Peter throw combos EVER. Throwing 1 punch at a time wont EVER beat Toney and Peters notorious for that. Im betting 300 on Toney to win. If its a 10 rounder i may bet half on him winning by decision.
Toney lands 55% while Peter 24%
100-90 for all the judgesComment

What jab? I didn't see a jab in Peter's arsenal. Peter's best punch is a clubbing right behind the head. I think Toney will win this one farely easy, he just has to stay below 230 to do that.Originally posted by McKayLike I said before Toney has a reasonable chance in this fight because Peter is not excessively tall, he's raw, and he's slow. The question marks are will Peter come in a smarter fighter and establish a jab, fight at range or will he attempt to use his superior size and strength to smother Toney against the ropes. I think the latter is the more likely scenario and it gives Toney the better chance. The other question mark though is will Toney, even with his masterfull ability to fight off the ropes be able to deal with a man the size and strenth of Peter. It makes for an intriguing bout. Peter probably should be the favorite because of the question marks on the Toney side.Comment
