weight isnt going to matter in this fight for toney, peter isn't busy enough to make it matter. the only reason rahman was able to look 'OK' (good in most of your eyes) was because he threw 900 some weak ass jabbing punches and was dry humping toney. peter is going to throw one shot at a time and not be as busy as rahman and toney even weighing 238 is going to be able to counter him all night long. i still hope he comes in at 228ish but a fat toney will still have a field day with a one at a time puncher like peter

** What other question? Toney is de-evolving into a clubfighter, a butterbean. You boys are gonna have to start living in a nursing home after you see how easily Peter KOs fatboy. The only skill fatboy will show is his new Popeye's Chicken Dance that he and Boozo have been working on.

Its an intriguing fight but not one that will be of the highest quality.

I don't care about Toney the racist, but I'd really like to see Peter halt the alarming Toney syndrome he seems to have picked up. Admittedly he's a very heavy set guy, but he should be coming in at 235 not 260 if he's to take advantage of the power god gave him.

I'm waiting to see what Toney weighs before placing money/points on this one.

It's always assumed that because Toney has never been knocked out it's a given that he never will be. Considering that over 91% of his career has been fought outside the heavyweight division then maybe it's not something we should take for granted.

HOWEVER, as the only two noted punchers he's faced/facing so far (and I'm not convinced that either of them have as much power as touted) aren't skilful boxers (Rahman/Peter), then the chances of him getting seriously hurt are minimised. So I don't think Peter will KO him.

But if Toney comes in like he did last time then Peter has a high chance of being able to outpoint Toney if he keeps distance and ups his workrate. Remember that Peter is likely to now be a favourite from a judging point of view given that he has the potential to be a more sellable commodity. (ie. he's young, has his career ahead of him, is a puncher, and didn't come in for his last fight grossly overweight and not doing anything).

Peter is still learning and obviously has the power.

I'm not saying that's why I'd favor him, even though I kind of do.
THe is the most acceptable answer.

James Toney have an attuide problem if he doesnt train that well he will eat his word and retire.

You cant just becomes a fight like that fighter are made day after day til they reach where there are.

not hard to understand why peter is favored...

                - he's younger
                - he's bigger
                - he's stronger
                - he hits alot harder
                - toney has yet to beat a good heavyweight
                - toney failed to beat ruiz and rahman
                - toney's 37 years old and struggles to get in shape

the only advantage toney has is his great boxing skills, but that didnt help him beat ruiz or rahman...

                  what weight reports?

could you link the reports that Toney is even bigger than in March? I have not heard this, and there has been little if any information coming out of his camp.
