It’s not Haney’s fault at all, it’s a systematic problem with the rankings.
Again, there may be problems with the system but there is no requirement that someone “prove” They can mix it up with the Elite.

If you require proof, then a fight with Loma is a chance for Haney to prove it. He has earned the right to prove it against who ever the champion is.

If you don’t like the way things are, that is understandable but that doesn’t mean Haney suddenly doesn’t have the right to the fight.

Since when does someone have prove they are a “credible threat “? You’re literally making up rules that don’t exist.

It doesn’t matter who you want to see fight. It matter who earns the mandatory title shot.
So do you think Trevor Bryan deserves to face AJ next?

If you’re gonna keep with this official narrative you have to be consistent.

Haney isn’t Loma’s mandatory either man, they are both belt holders. Fortuna is the official WBC mando.

Just personally, I don’t believe Haney has earned the right to fight Lomachenko. I don’t care about artificial rankings, I care about the best fighting the best. The belts mean nothing to me tbh bro.

Look guys this is morphed into a separate discussion. I’m not trying to derail the thread anymore.

I think tonight is going to be a really great fight and I’m looking forward to it.

Yeah it turned into a ill give other people an exception except Lomachenko and when you ask me to be consistent ill deflect it because I don't want to be held accountable.

          Yeah buddy!

It's the exact same discussion minus the names. Lmfao! That's called objectivity!

We all see what you're doing! Lolololo

No, I personally don’t. That said, if AJ doesn’t make the mando and doesn’t get an exception from the sanctioning body, he has to drop the belt.

Haney only had the belt because Loma dropped it and took the franchise title rather than fight him.

Again, completely understand why he did that.

Respectfully, whatever we believe is irrelevant because Haney did everything the sanctioning body required.

Why do boxers get an immediate wbo title shots in their 1st fights in the division?

Because the wbo rules are that if you are champion in a weight class and you move up, you can automatically be ranked #1 and get a title shot ( not exact wording but you know what I mean).

You and I may not agree with Loma getting that shot. I may not agree with Usyk or Stevenson or Crawford moving up and getting the title fight immediately, but those are the wbo rules.

I get you don’t think Haney can win. What if you’re wrong and he did win?

That is why I don’t think our opinions should drive this. I’m sure we’ve both thought someone wasn’t ready and we were both proven wrong.

That’s exactly my opinion regarding Haney fighting Loma.
