Because people don’t know boxing they are sold on antics, the wwe figured this out years ago people just believe in **** talking it sells more than the action.

Arum isn’t a exec at ESPN, the problem is no real execs are behind boxing.

If that's your standard then there aren't any great fights anymore. Top p4p fighters facing each other is extremely rare and when it does happen the A-side fighter has an age, weight, or size advantage. Fury and Wilder aren't top p4p fighters, yet they've had the highest selling PPV in a long time and broke the heavyweight gate record.

I mean to be honest none of the PBC PPV fights are PPV worthy but the same can be said about Lomochenko-Lopez and Crawford-Brook.....ESPN knows those fights won’t turn a profit.

So in general none are PPV worthy. Arum was forced to put this on regular ESPN don’t get it twisted, he didn’t do it for good faith

            Yep!

Arum and ESPN are definitely wishing for a 2hrs30min blowout instead of a 3hrs+ "nail biter"!

Keep that in mind when he now tries to run his BS.

No one outside of purists cares sadly. It should get decent viewership but if it was PPV it would likely bomb. Lomachenko is a top 3 p4p fighter and future ATG but right now all eyes are on the HW division and we can't blame the masses for that. Fury is a once in a millenia fighter, the whole world will stop to watch his next fight.

Lmao at these "fans". Don't know greatness when it smacks them in the face.

I will give Fury this i believe he is the best heavyweight atm and by far the best player off mind games but its a watered down era.
Which isnt Furys fault so i give him that.

I blame putting on so much crap fights that people stop watching.

Top Rank and Arum going to kill Boxing being shown on ESPN. If it wasn’t Tyson Fury PPV earnings, espn would of pulled the plug a long time ago before the pandemic
not only that its getting paired with a good ufc fight too so this should have no reason to fail

The NFL has still been pulling 10 million+ viewers on there this season. The UFC is likely to break a million buys on $65 PPV on ESPN+ the weekend after this and has done multiple times this year already during the pandemic. Again, no excuses. If one of the biggest boxing matches out there cant pull over a million viewers when its being given away on regular ESPN for free then things are truly ****ed.
