  • Comments Thread For: Lopez: Lomachenko Is Better Off At 130 Or 126 Pounds; 135 Is My Weight Class!

LAS VEGAS Teofimo Lopez readily acknowledges Vasiliy Lomachenko's skills and accomplishments. The Brooklyn native intends to show Saturday night, however, that the three-division world champion isn't best suited to thrive in the lightweight division. Lopez is convinced Lomachenko belongs at junior lightweight, or even featherweight, the two divisions within which Lomachenko won world titles before he moved up to the lightweight limit of 135 pounds early in 2018

Lopez looks like a giant because his weight class is actually 140lbs and that alone is why he is so confident.

The omission or mistake Papa Lomachenko made signing with Arum was not including a clause that stipulates a "day of" weigh-in limit.

At 140lbs Lopez would look ordinary facing Regis Prograis and a group of equally big punchers with talent and skills.

The way he keeps bringing it up, he better make his size matter if he plans on coming out the victor. As good a boxer as he is, boxing with Loma would greatly lessen his chances of winning this fight. He needs mix it in while getting physical with him. Don't know if he knows how to do that being that he's always been the superior boxer in all his fights up to this point.

Jesus, I can't wait til Saturday (or early Sunday here). Honestly can't bear anymore of this boring build up. Lopez is now saying the same thing over and over again and Loma, well let's just say he likes to do his talking in the ring. No more yawnfests until the weigh-in, please.

                Pretending

I honestly think Lopez is trying to be someone he's not. They all talk about how special he is, how he sees things no one else is seing...
Well, I just see a powerfull guy with a big mouth. Like so many others...

Have you already seen a 2x Olympic Gold Medal who won a world championship belt at his 3rd fight?
Have you already seen a fighter who train his brain the way Loma is doing?
Have you already seen somebody dancing with his fighting partner the way he is doing?

There was indeed another 2x Olympic Champion.. and Loma beat him already.
There was indeed another dancing champion and his name was Mohamed Ali.

And there will be an undisputed 135 champion at his 16th fight and hi name is Vasyl Anatoliyovich Lomachenko
