I think the main point is that Rigo fought one and sparred the other.

So he's just trying to provide his personal opinion on the outcome.

Yeah, it will be the same IF/WHEN Loma beats Lopez.

Then you say, Loma beat a young and inexperienced Lopez, right?

Even if Loma goes to 140lbs and beats a champion there (hypothetical), still not good enough!

This is a fight and people better know Lopez coming to fight

I love what Lomachenko does and finally the first time in a professional career that he's facing a bigger stronger guy who can punch with both hands, Leonard vs Lalonde comes to mind with size but the X factor is Lopez can box, is fast and is explosive in both hands plus Loma not much of a puncher at the weight. I can see Lopez win, but do I think he will; No, why? skills pay the bills being young, powerful and full of life is just one factor, Lomachenko is great!

A lot of us thought Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux was a 50/50 fight going in.

But Rigondeaux was old and moving up 2 weight classes when he fought Lomachenko. Is that the truth or isn't it?

But this is what I've been saying to Loma fanboys who insist we should count the Rigo win. It was a farce of a weight mismatch:

"I don't land on that Lomachenko list [of top fighters he's beaten], because I'm actually an 118-pounder and he was a 130-pounder," Rigondeaux added.

That's a poor excuse. The man basically quit. And this is coming from someone who idolized Rigondeaux, I actually didn't care who won going into the fight because I was a fan of both, but Rigo embarrassed himself. He is a world class boxer and tactician, being slightly over weight doesn't shut you down. A world class fighter like him with elite defense and offense should be able to adjust to the weight and speed difference and still maintain proper distance and go to work.

We didn't really get to see them fight and that is what left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. I honestly think Rigondeaux realized he had to use all the tools in his toolbox for the first time in probably many years and he said **** it, I'm not putting all that effort into it and rolled over the minute he realized he wasn't going to jab his way to a UD. Really disappointing either way, fans were robbed of what could have been a spectacle.

LOL at Rigo's lame excuses of his loss... That's unfair to the likes of Brook, Khan, Canelo, GrandPac, JMM, RJJ, Dawson and Duran who fought on weight classes above or below theirs...

I agree with the part where skills can overcome weight, but not against a much bigger guy with like skills or better. Rigo was noticeably tiny.

Loma hasn't been in a real dogfight because the opponents weren't good enough. Lopez will bring it in this fight, although not as skilled as Rigo.

Size has nothing to do with pushing the gas and letting your hands go! So what if he was tiny by any standard, elite is elite, move your head, come in and out, hit and don't be hit. Rigondeaux excelled at this. He has sparred larger dudes many times in his life, all boxers do. Would he win? It's that he didn't really TRY that pisses us off.

And I disagree Lomachenko hasn't been pushed, that is literally what Salido did. Don't really care about your opinions about alleged low blows, a vet took advantage of a green, albeit skilled and higher IQ fighter. It's that simple. The more technically gifted fighter doesn't always win. Find a way to persevere and find a way to win. Regardless of if your opponent is fighting dirty or not, boxing is a sport but it's a blood sport and a fight as well. He didn't get it done that night period. Taking anything away from Salido is petty.
