I have a feeling about this fight. Top Rank thinks Lopez is going to be a boxing star, if you look at Top Rank history, they usually don't risk someone who is going to be a cash cow in tuff unless they they are sure that fighter is most likely to win. So I believe that Loma is going to have to K.O Lopez or have a clear cut decision, if this fight is close and goes to the cards, I expect Lopez to get the bid. In Bob's eyes, Lopez is the future and unfortunately for Loma as talented as he is, he represents the past he's 32 and never really developed into the star that Bob was hoping, I think the fact that even though Loma won his last fights, I think Bob thinks he's on the decline and he knows that if Lopez can pull it off, he has a cash cow on his hands because of Lopez personality and style. I truly believe that is the only reason this fight got made, either way I expect a heck of a fight and looking forward to Saturday. War!

        Excellent points.

In fact I'll place a small bet on a draw. They might save Lopez's unbeaten record in that way, even if he loses the fight clearly.

And if Lopez can rock or knockdown Loma, the scoring can be all over the place because if Loma is winning a round and gets rocked, some may pick Lopez winning the round cause he rocked Loma and some may pick Loma because he outscored Lopez in the round he was rocked. Lots of subjectivity. A draw is not out of the question.

All jokes aside maybe this is why they are not putting it out on PPV. Either way I will be tuning in and could not care less about baseball or college football. When the stakes are low as we have seen with the NBA the hype is gone and the luster is worn out.
With all due respect, but to say nobody cares about baseball is your own opinion and not something based on fact as ratings and attendance speak for themselves and football just happens to be a popular sport and yes that includes college.

Don’t get it twisted. This matchup does seem intriguing but you’re not going to tell me that the summer series for Top Rank was a success in ratings. I will be surprised if this produces Bud Crawford numbers from December which worked considering it was followed after the Heisman trophy event.

This could be very true. In order to avoid controversy in a distance fight would be if one fighter stops the other. A draw would not shock me due to volume vs powershots and how those are viewed by fans and judges.

Its interesting to read these comments. The more respectful comments tend to support Loma, the more arrogant comments tend to support Teo. One doesn't have to be a psychologist to see we click to our own types.

I know that Teo's insecure ego is due to his dad, and his dad's is due to his upbringing, and so on and so forth. Curios, were you raised to be rude to people that you dont know and never met?

It's difficult to trash talk when you don't speak the language well. But I really enjoy Loma's trash walking in the ring. No words exchanged is the best type of talk.
