Comments Thread For: Lomachenko on Lopez: We'll Compare Our Skill, Our Level, In The Ring

Vasiliy Lomachenko doesn't dispute the numerous attributes that make Teofimo Lopez a very live underdog entering their much-anticipated fight Saturday night. The three-division champion acknowledged Lopez's strengths during a recent virtual press conference. The uniquely skilled Ukrainian southpaw also cautioned that Lopez's prowess will be tested like never before when they square off in a 12-round, 135-pound title unification fight at MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

Can't wait for this one, fight of the year ...it's easy to go with Lomo with his experience but then the youth the speed the power and IQ make Lopez formidable . Seen them both on the same card and completely impressed with both although Lopez was scary.

This is going to interfere with MLB and college football, so it’s unlikely to deliver strong ratings

Teo can't box on his back foot, so he'll come out as he usually does. agressively. That's exactly what Loma wants! He will turn him all night, and counter him repetitively.

Teo has a puncher's chance, that's about it.

Lomo? Why disrespect a person who's never done anything to you?

Nobody cares about baseball. Baseball is not a sport it is a past time meaning you watch it or listen to it to pass the time.

All jokes aside maybe this is why they are not putting it out on PPV. Either way I will be tuning in and could not care less about baseball or college football. When the stakes are low as we have seen with the NBA the hype is gone and the luster is worn out.

What IQ has Lopez possessed or even needed with the opponents he has faced? I saw zero IQ against Nakatani.. He has decent speed but not frightening speed. He is very easy to hit . He has power but this is not the heavyweights. He will have to box and really impose himself. He will not hit. Loma clean. You. Said he is scary, in what sense? I actually love the s#hit talking but for me that’s all he does is talk. 3 years ago he was deriding rigondeaux skills by saying he only has a left hand. At that stage he was not even fighting D level fighters
