Anyone think Usyk would own heavyweight?

no one is going to run the division like how the klitschko's dominated an extermley weak era, they're so many good fighters at the size of 6'4 and up it's crazy, Klitschko's best opponent at the size was Tony Thompson until he fought Fury and Joshua and we all know what happened thereComment

Klitschko best opponent of size was 6”5 Pulev who he blasted and is the only guy to defeat Pulev who would be a top win for all 3 Wilder , AJ and Fury who declined Pulev in 2013 .no one is going to run the division like how the klitschko's dominated an extermley weak era, they're so many good fighters at the size of 6'4 and up it's crazy, Klitschko's best opponent at the size was Tony Thompson until he fought Fury and Joshua and we all know what happened there
Pulev , Povetkin and prime Haye are far from weak opposition. I believe he retired Ibragomov who was also a very tough southpaw.Last edited by REDEEMER; 10-13-2020, 11:18 PM.Comment

It was better era than today. Klitschko beat Haye, prime Povetkin, younger Pulev. He also beat Byrd, who would be top 5 hw today.no one is going to run the division like how the klitschko's dominated an extermley weak era, they're so many good fighters at the size of 6'4 and up it's crazy, Klitschko's best opponent at the size was Tony Thompson until he fought Fury and Joshua and we all know what happened thereComment

Personally I don't think so
I think he's got a few things going against him, the main one being age.
When you are majorly outsized like him you either need some serious deterrent power or the ability to move and avoid being hit, imo he has neither.
He's kind of an in the pocket fighter, he was a fair sized lump at cruiser but he certainly isn't at heavyweight, he's not going to pressure and break down super heavyweights, he will be running into brick walls.Comment

Usyk is dangerous if you don't get rid of him in the first half of the fight. These bigger guys expend so much energy and become so fatigued, they're vulnerable to Usyk's tremendous stamina and high ring IQ. The later the fight goes, the more he deciphers the pattern of their movement and potentially stuns them with nasty counters that they don't see coming, like Povetkin did to Whyte. Once they're exhausted and defenseless, they're easy prey to the speed and volume of his late round assaults.Comment

I think he can win a belt 100%. If he does or not will depend on who he gots to fight obviously, but also if he can handle the HW power & size. Strategically & skills-wise all things being equal I think he can hold his own & beat anyone out there, but HW isn't equal & is a different animal to other divisions.
I don't think he'll be on top too long if he does win a belt or become #1 at HW. He's about to be 34 & is undersized & underpowered. Every big legit world class guy he fights will likely be a grind for him & take something away from him. Idk that I can see him defending his status for more than 2 or 3 fights or 2ish years taking that likely reality into account.Comment
