I'm assuming they're signed up to percentages rather than a set amount.

Flat fees are offensive to Wilder, remember?

He had two opportunities to back up his promises of a KO victory, twice he fell short. The rematch told the story, time to move on. He should pursue some stay busy fights to keep his name relevant in the HW picture. Parker, Ruiz, or even Ajagba.

The fight this past February had both men guaranteed a minimum amount- 28 million- plus a percentage of ppv.

No reason to think the third fight was just percentage.

Again, the promoters pushed the dates back, not either fighter. And the reason given was that they wanted a live gate to help pay the fighters...in other words, a live gate to offset the cost of the purses they, the promoters, promised contractually.

So, do you see the problem now with those same promoters who delayed now saying the contract expired?

So what can he possibly say now? So that's why he's quiet. He's embarrased and ashamed because the whole world saw this take place. He wants to hide under a rock and not have his face seen. History has shown us this many times before. Just a couple examples are when Liston ko'd Patterson, he hid from the world and went out in public with a fake beard, mustache and shades. When Foreman got outsmarted and whipped by Ali, he hid from the world. And when Jimmy Young whipped him, he disappeared, became a preacher and emerged 10 years later as a completely differently personality type. Those severe asswhippings can shut you up and change your whole life. Deontay is also hiding because he has a large dent in the side of his head that wasn't there b4
I have some two part filler that can sort that dent out in wilders head ....a quick sand down and it will be brand new

Wilder claimed that he wanted a rematch but after thinking it through, wisely decided to let the rematch clause laps.

The amount was actually $24 million dollars total split $14 million to Wilder and $10 million to Fury. The Rematch clause did not guarantee amount just that the winner would receive 60% and the loser 40%. That said, if Team Wilder wanted the fight in December and Team Fury balked, Fury would be in breach of their contract.

Wilder's plan is to get pushed aside and then claim that he was ducked.

The 14 and 10 million was what they got in the first fight.

The rematch clause for the trilogy did indeed guarantee a 60-40 split, but there were minimum guarantees involved just like the first and second fight.

Think about it, the first thing you ask negotiating the clause is "60% of what?"

I agree with you that Wilder or his team should respond aggressively to these developments.

But, I will say that Haymon rarely gets out maneuvered legally and has already kicked Arum's ass in court several times.

I don't think this will be much different.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman stated that heard nothing & the fight was still happening. If there was never a rematch clause activated Sulaiman would not be saying this homeboy.. Send a link that Wilder never activated his rematch
