I hear ya, but it's always been like this. The fact that there is no overarching body gives an opening for that type of talk.
Ray Leonard, Roy Jones Jr, many before and after went trough this and are still being questioned by some.Comment

Oh come on, you're just jealous.
You see what I'm talking about guys? These tabloid writers get Bumochenko's fans to believe that this clown is : the fighter of the decade, the best of his generation, greatest to ever lace them up, for a potential win over 15-0 Teofimo Lopez.
This guy is actually getting paid to troll.
That's your dream job!Comment

Fury earned more than Loma through boxing.. that would conclude the list of things relating to boxing, where Fury has achieved more than Loma.He isn't saying anything we don't already know, Lomachenko should be favored for a reason. Casuals don't have eyes tests though.
And Canelo is a literal hype job. Saying it's splitting hairs is disrespectful towards Lomachenko.
And Fury is #1. As gifted as Lomachenko is, Fury is a level higher and being slick with more weight and real estate is far more impressive.Comment

I see, you are not familiar with boxing. Is figure skating your thing? Stick to it. And, yes, Loma has the best resume in the world today because not a single active (or, actually, past) fighter has achieved what he has achieved, be it in amateurs or professionals.Comment

That episode makes me think Loma has a great chin. Loma was caught coming in and Linares really committed to that punch. Like Floyd and Ali early on, Loma just did not get hit enough to demonstrate his chin.Comment

The internet is always gonna be filled with ****** comments but it would be cool to stumble across something objective from time to time. It's not just the Loma sucks stuff that's ****** it's also the Lopez sucks stuff from the Loma fans that's pretty retarded.Comment

I exaggerated for effect, but I honestly thin Loma loses this weekend. If he wins, then he is better than I currently think he is, but my money is on Lopez. There's a lot in what you say, but not exactly accurate. He was fighting the lightweight champ, coming straight from the 130 lb division, who'd won titles in 3 divisions and had over half-a dozen defences. They may have been "neck-and-neck" -according to the judges-, but in the ring, Lomachenko showed far greater skill, all round..
He had to get to a much larger, heavier, longer reach champion. Jorge Linares had over a 70% KO average, not a "moderate" puncher by ANY standards. Another thing. Linares didn't "flatten" Lomachenko, he knocked him down onto the seat of his pants, and he got up immediately, more surprised than hurt.
So, in the interests of accuracy, I don't think you're being quite fair to the actual facts.

Fair enough. We all have our opinions. My opinion is...that I don't know. I've seen nothing of Lopez, and even so, once a guy has a KO punch, anything can happen, although Linares also has a big punch and Lomachenko's chin seemed very good, as the punch was "straight down the pike" and he still got up immediately, seemingly embarrassed but not bothered.Comment
