Let's just say the IBF and WBO hadn't ordered their mandatories, who was he supposed to unify against? Fury was, as of the end of February, contractually obligated to face Wilder.
This is a prime example of how fangirl and/or hater mentalities blind people from all logic lolComment

No, there's currently only two mandatories, those that have been ordered, and no, he doesn't get to choose. The IBF mandatory had been due longer than the WBO, which is why we're seeing AJ vs. Pulev and not Usyk. And a unification only trumps a mandatory if the concerning sanctioning body agrees to it. If they don't, then it either doesn't happen or the champion loses the title.

No, he can't. It's really simple; if AJ chose not to fight either of his mandatories in favour of facing Fury for undisputed (even though it was impossible) he would have been stripped of at least one of the titles, if not both. And then it wouldn't have been an undisputed fight. He has no leverage when two sanctioning bodies order their mandatories at the same time. He has to face one under the agreement that he faces the other one next.Comment
