Floyd & dad beef = Floyd kicks him out. Teofimo & dad beef = Teo cries.

It doesn't make him any worse as a boxer.
I seem to recall the so called unbeaten lineal king going into suicidal depression and having imaginary convos with thanos.
Yes he did. And you know what happened?

He damn near got knocked smoove out by Wilder.

Why? Because he lost focus. Twice.

What saved him is experience. Not getting up too soon (Judah/Tszyu), taking the full count, keeping his eyes open, acknowledging the ref, etc. That's all experience.

Teofimo has no such. He'll get it. But he doesn't have it. And it's too early to be in there against this level of opponent when you don't have it.

As Mikey Garcia learned the hard way. Maybe Teofimo will fist pump after rounds he clearly loses, too.

There's such a big mental side to boxing and I disregard this Teo and Dad thing, that's nothing, what concerns me is his reaction to his performance vs Nakatani. He got emo after that fight and started insinuating that he's quitting boxing. He also took a lot of abuse from fans, about being exposed and being a hypejob and that got to him too. You can't let that get to you, for fans, everyone is a hypejob. That's a given. But Lopez is too young and too inexperienced and just not mentally elite yet for Lomachenko.

There was plenty of top 10 LW's to fight before Lomachenko who would have been good wins. For example I would loved to see Lopez dispatch the paper champion Devin Haney by KO, that would be nice to watch. He could have also gone with an older fighter like Linares, who could be a highlight reel KO for anyone with the chin he has. Campbell would have been a good test as well. Bart, Easter, Fortuna. So many names he could have used to gain experience before fighting a top 3 P4P fighter.
Once you become a champion, there should be no more talk of being too young or too inexperienced. Tank and his people pulled the same nonsense. You can't seek out all the glory for KO'ing Commey and then talk about being too young or inexperienced for Loma. Teo has close to 200 amateur fights, he's been around a while. He has a history of emotional instability, but boxing is just as much mental as it is physical, and he needs to have all that shyt sorted out before he enters the ring.
