Floyd & dad beef = Floyd kicks him out. Teofimo & dad beef = Teo cries.

they're different people with different relationships and backstories, how is that difficult to understand?
from what ive seen teofimo's dad is similar to angel garcia with danny garcia. that's a totally diff type of relationship than what floyd jr has had with his dad. his dad wasnt even in his life for most of it. floyd sr was violent not only with his wife, but his son too.
if you knew your dad once used you as a shield, when your own maternal uncle was about to shoot him..how would you feel about him?Comment

Excuses. None of what you say matters.they're different people with different relationships and backstories, how is that difficult to understand?

"AT THE END OF THE DAY", one guy knows how to handle situations with a disrespectful father and keep strong and the other does not.
I didn't ever see Danny Swift tear up crying over his dad, either.
If anything, you're blaming the dad for the son's weakness. Teo Sr. wasn't thug enough so it kept Jr. weak. Teo is a grown ass man - needs to fight his own battles and find his own strength and he hasn't even by now.
Come on man - the kid is mentally weak and it's going to keep causing him problems.Comment

As if crying over emotional problems with the family is a "weakness".
It doesn't make him any worse as a boxer.
I seem to recall the so called unbeaten lineal king going into suicidal depression and having imaginary convos with thanos.Comment

I’d rather he fight Loma than fight clowns for years like Haney and Tank. All this ducking is lame and terrible for the sport. Win or lose he has more heart than any other LW not named Lomachenko imo.Teofimo Lopez is in trouble mentally. That's what his fans don't see. They just see that he has power, is physically in shape, and very confident but there is more to boxing than just physical ability. There's such a big mental side to boxing and I disregard this Teo and Dad thing, that's nothing, what concerns me is his reaction to his performance vs Nakatani. He got emo after that fight and started insinuating that he's quitting boxing. He also took a lot of abuse from fans, about being exposed and being a hypejob and that got to him too. You can't let that get to you, for fans, everyone is a hypejob. That's a given. But Lopez is too young and too inexperienced and just not mentally elite yet for Lomachenko.
There was plenty of top 10 LW's to fight before Lomachenko who would have been good wins. For example I would loved to see Lopez dispatch the paper champion Devin Haney by KO, that would be nice to watch. He could have also gone with an older fighter like Linares, who could be a highlight reel KO for anyone with the chin he has. Campbell would have been a good test as well. Bart, Easter, Fortuna. So many names he could have used to gain experience before fighting a top 3 P4P fighter.Comment
