I tend to think it’s at the lower levels that height and reach has the biggest impact as those fighters don’t necessarily have the ability adjust to physical disadvantages.

If Floyd was to beat Loma it wouldn’t be because he was taller and had longer arms it would be because of timing, punch placement, angles, footwork etc. Sure height and reach is an advantage but in a fight between two elite fighters I don’t think it’s a significant difference maker.
I got you, and to be clear, I don't think that those physical advantages alone would win the fight. My point is that when you're at the highest levels where both guys can employ timing, punch placement, footwork, ect, I think the bigger guy COULD have an advantage will all things being relatively equal. That's not a guarantee of course but it could possibly factor in.

I certainly don't think that size alone or lack thereof would decide the fight.

There’s about 80 of these threads the last 2 years. And then people wonder why we call Loma overrated. He was never at that level. I think he gets smoked by Morales and Berrara too.

Any version of Loma, any version of Floyd.

Floyd was never my favorite fighter, but these threads are hilarious. Floyd could win any fight against any figher in history 130 to 154. Top 10 ATG at worst.

Imo what gave Loma problems tonight hand and foot speed and counters plays right into the strength of PBF. His hand and foot speed (look at his fight vs Chico for example) are most definitely up to par if not exceeding Teofimo's and add to that Floyd's countering ability and longer length he would have given Loma the biz.

Had Floyd seen anything near like Loma at 130? NOT EVEN CLOSE!

His best win there was Corrales for fxcks sake. He literally only beat a bunch of plodding Mexican fighters at that weight! The he moved up and arguably lost to Castillo at 135

Floyd would've battered Lomachenko. Easy work.
