I think the bolded part isn't happening here. I don't think the father has an issue with son's wife.

What I think is happening is a control issue, like Lopez feeling he's ready for the fight and wanting to spend some time with the wife. Some fighters aren't allowed to **** before fights. Lopez maybe feels his dad is too involved in his personal life. Teo needs distance from dad.

True, yeah I think the issue with the father is he seems a little too ready for the limelight. I could see how that could cause strain with the son.

The marriage issue seems to be more with the mother and sister.

I guess my comment stems from the fact that a family member one time came home with a girl and got pretty serious with her, and I was like 'yo wtf are you doing man' lol. She was just into all sorts of awful stuff. Complete mess. No way I would have had a relationship with them going forward if they stuck together. Just would have had no respect for him.
