Lol, but probably not far off.

All these dad's & mom's that push their kids into sports or acting or beauty pageants or whatever when they are lil are all fooking nuts to me.

If they gravitated to it on their own fair play, that's fine, but it seems like Floyd, RJJ, Teo & many others in other sports or other spheres we pushed head first into it by a parent well before they made the choice for themselves.

Granted it's paid off for many of them in monetary ways, but often at the cost of relationships.

Then the father is forceful and trying to live through his son

Teo has no shot against Loma the L will be hard to swallow
To be fair I like families sticking to their values a bit. At some point you have to be real with yourself and what you support.

For an extreme view to make a point - what if your kid wanted to marry a dog or some sh.it. You can still love someone but not support every choice they make.

Sent you a Green Karma. Good post.

I think the bolded part isn't happening here. I don't think the father has an issue with son's wife.

What I think is happening is a control issue, like Lopez feeling he's ready for the fight and wanting to spend some time with the wife. Some fighters aren't allowed to **** before fights. Lopez maybe feels his dad is too involved in his personal life. Teo needs distance from dad.

        That's my interpretation.

          My predictions for Loma/Teo.
1-Loma knocks out Teo in 10th rnd.
2.Teos father will have no idea what to do when Loma starts the Matrix.
3.Teo either quits boxing or fires his Papa for a different trainer.

Loma better rev up the matrix from round one and keep going hard. The matrix at least needs 3 rounds to warm up. Those are key rounds for Lopez. Don't even let it start.

Showing emotion doesn't mean you are weak. People who think that way are ignorant and ******. It can be healthy shedding some tears to get rid of bent up deepseated negative energy. I don't know what happened between father and son.

I liked the part where Loma says he'll put all his skills out there in this one. Love to see that. The fishing part was great too. That's something I also do in my free time.

Emotions are good. I'm sure Loma has his moments.
Showing emotions as a boxer is good but it depends for what you’re spending that type of energy on and what you’re showing emotion for. For example Ali would show emotion when speaking about the unfair treatment of black people and that was really where we would see “the other side” of Ali.

Showing emotion for daddy issues, a lot of people can probably relate to Lopez when watching that...there is so many POS dad’s out there that probably more people than not can relate. But me, personally, it’s not something I would talk about. But to each his own. I guess for today’s tv ratings, what drives them, I guess it’s good for ratings. Personalizing/humanizing the barbaric pro boxing sport.

Humanizing made the point. We need more of that in general.

I'm big on trying to feel my sad situations deeply. Usually tears don't come, but when they do, they heal. Lopez is also human.

Teo is an emotional kid. Getting emotional about boxing can make or break a fighter's career, and it can win or lose a particular fight. It all depends on the individual.

My prediction is that Teo will be mentally strong enough to hang with Loma for 12 rounds, he won't pull a no mas, but I don't think he has the skill or experience to win. You can never write off a puncher though. Man, this is going to be an interesting fight!

Papachenko is like a damned ghost. He has trained Usyk for all his fights from the start of the WBSS onwards, but at the weigh ins and during the fight itself, some-one else always adopts the role of Usyk's official head coach, with Papachenko pulling strings and relaying instructions from the background.

Jumping on a puncher from rd 1 is ******. Obviously he’d be smarter off easing into it and not forcing it. Lopez slows down anyway.

Gotta see how a guy’s trying to counter, adjust to his speed etc first. A lot of fighters can compete early. But as Kellerman says class tells over time.
