I vaguely remember Lopez became sort of emo on twitter after his fight vs the Japanese boxer, didn’t he? Like he was cryptic, sounded like he wanted to quit boxing. I could be wrong. But he showed some mental fragility there, which doesn’t give me too much confidence in him vs Lomachenko. When you’re going to fight a very good, very slick boxer like Lomachenko you have to be mentally on point, even if you’re losing on the cards. And I think Lopez is too inexperienced for this, and hasn’t built himself up to that level mentally. I think his current confidence can get deflated quick in the ring vs Lomachenko.

Teo is really anxious before the Loma fight and will be depressed after he gets embarrassed. Different levels, very simple.

Lopez is nothing like Linares and if they would of fought Linares would of been stretched.

Lomochenko-Lopez going to be a good fight but comparing Linares is pointless
I didn't make the comparison, I was commenting on the comparison often used by the López fans.

Linares being stopped doesn't have anything to do with his skill set. He got caught cold a few times. It happens. Anybody that thinks Linares isn't a highly skilled boxer, and more so than López, needs to give their head a good ol' shake.

Lopez has just one plan... Maul small Lomachenko, be all over him ( something like Shawn Porter) and knock him out in first 5 rounds. If that doesn't happen, Loma will give pain to Lopez

This is how I see it going too. He can't be a thinker in there. It has to be a fight with no spacing in the first few rounds. Crowd him every second. Can Lomachenko really fight as well as he boxes?

If Lopez comes to box, he negates his advantages.

Loma ain't small. They are the same size.

How much power does Teofimo have? Is more heavy handed or does have that snappy lights out power?

He has to keep hitting you to stop you. Even the weak chin of Commey got up and could have easily survived if he knew how to defend himself while hurt. He has strength to muscle the guy’s in the division. At least the bums he’s faced. I doubt he’s stronger than Lomachenko, but he does know how to put more of his body into his punches than Lomachenko, which is a more furious arm puncher. Which would help in moving guy’s more too.

Second, Loma got dropped, then proceeded to walk Linares down to a stoppage.

Even if Lopez does land a Hail Mary - which could happen but I doubt it - Loma is too crafy and intelligent.
We'll see when my bet comes in. I'd take Lopez to KO or outpoint Linares handily. I'm convinced he wins this. I wouldn't say Linares skill levels are that good. The first fight he had with Crolla was like a 7-5, and Crolla has very limited skill.

So he barely even has a punchers chance then because from the bits I’ve seen he’s unlikely to be landing with any kind of regularity
