I have to wonder about the boogeyman narrative, which is nowhere to be found in this thread. Seems the PBC house got contaminated with it. Why aren't you calling out these PBC heavyweights like you did with Whyte and others?

I could understand Haymon feeding a long list of bums to his younger fighters before throwing them into the lions' den, but this guy is in his 40s. When will his next fight be after this one? A year from now? When? The guy is in his retirement stage.

A tuneup guy is a tuneup guy. He could have a losing record, it doesn't matter.

He's meant to be a soft touch that will help knock off rust or build confidence or get in some rounds.

This guy has not gone 4 rounds with either Parker or Martin who Ortiz claims to be better than and you have to suspect he's worse for ware now so how is this getting rounds in if this is anything other than a walk for Ortiz any none Haymon cultist is going to tear him apart over it. If he really is the 6th best heavyweight in the world this can't go more than 2 rounds.

Looking forward to witnessing the return of King Kong back in the ring!

He put up a Herculean effort in two fights against the hardest puncher in the division but got caught an couldn’t continue, it happens!

I expect Ortiz to struggle a bit as he’s older and coming off a KO loss an plus a long layoff as well!

Hopefully Ortiz isn’t done and has more to give left and he takes care of business so we can finally see the former boogeyman of the heavyweight division mix it up with some of the other best at heavyweight!

If all things goes well, Ortiz should get a crack at Frank Sanchez or the winner of Dubois-Joyce!

To say hes not that good is idiotic
He would give any heavyweight problems (the version that fought wilder anyways)

He would be competitive with any heavyweight win or lose so to say hes not that good just shows your ignorance and non understanding of the sport

The poor guy never got a shot until it was too late ,in his prime he would have dominated and kod joshua and wilder easily

So discrediting what he managed to do with his late career due to circumstance is a shame on you
It is a typical Cuban fighter they always lose the big one and the worst for him using drugs if Whyte had had fought a bum like this would be laughed at

tuneups”soft-touches” belong on undercards, not as a main event on Fox prime time!

you dont always have to be a fanboy. It's objectively a bad card and thus doesnt really matter if it's free or not.
