Ruiz problems are not the trainer but outside the gym.

Andy doesn't have problems in the gym. Give him whatever trainer you want but if he doesn't change his lifestyle it won't matter. Andy seems to be a people person. There are too many peeps hanging around him now. His father needs to handle his affairs and keep these types away from him. If not his father he needs to hire a personal assistant to take care of this stuff. Like Manny Robles said he could not be his father only his trainer. Mike Tyson had Cus D'Amato. After D'Amato passed away Tyson lead a lifestyle that even his great skills could not overcome. D'Amoto was not just a trainer to him but a friend and father figure. San Diego is his comfort zone and he still has the temptations at his fingertips. I hope he can avoid the traps that destroyed Tyson. Teddy Atlas probably would have been the best for Andy because he would be in the east coast out of his comfort zone and all business. I don't know if they could have bonded to the degree Tyson and D'Amato did but I think Teddy would have the personality to show Andy that this is the only way to be at your best. But Andy is wealthy now and maybe Andy will do what Andy wants to do.

Boxing at the championship level is hard and takes work and dedication because that is what the other champion level boxers have going for them. You can't take it lightly and not give it your best unless you are an extremely gigted boxer and Ruiz is not. He needs all the help and the least distractions he can get.H can be a people person when he retires or during l long spells between fights but not when he has a fight coming up.

I'm convinced Andy is obsessed with material things, copped his mom a mansion, a new car for the missus, scholarship s for the kids, more tattoos and ice and bling. Spending too much time in the fridge.

Yeah I saw his Instagram awhile back

He bought a Lamborghini truck (nice btw)

But yeah it looks like he is just partying now. I don't knock him though, his money he can do what he wants.

Good for a fighter? Not really.

How much did he make for the AJ fights ?

I know a fat guy like Ruiz who loves to party

People who aren’t good at discipline don’t have unlimited upside

They’ll do enough just to feel good. Being great takes sacrifices

Ruiz couldn’t be arsed to train for the AJ rematch, so he could kick his azz again and prove the first time wasn’t a fluke

Ruiz was an underachiever who achieved something with a good opportunity

I don't think Ruiz can catch Josh on a bicycle no matter who trains him or how much he dedicates unless it's years down the line and he's been dedicated and training well for years.

Yeah, Arreola is the one guy who is even less disciplined than Ruiz. Dude was eating cheeseburgers and drinking 40s when he was training to fight Vitali.
