Canelo if he leaves DAZN will have to face fighters who will test him and not expect B grade fighters....didn’t the WBC once again line him up again facing a avni yildrim who has no right being in the ring with him.
Canelo will find it very hard getting get paydays in the current situation of boxing if he leaves DAZN that’s my point

Jermell ultimately knocked Rosario out with a piston jab to the body, but I was a lot more impressed with Jermall.

Derevyanchenko isn't about surgical precision, he just comes in like a wild caveman . Its just not gonna work at the elite level. Jermall was able to block most of that, stay in the pocket, and bust him up. Jermell was rightfully concerned about Rosario's power, and was in reverse gear the whole fight. It made for a lot less action. Jermell wasn't very active in the Harrison rematch too, before the late KO. Is this gonna be a thing with him, after that first loss?

You cannot believe those numbers (100,00buys) from Coppinger has always been a PBC shill. Arum said be had sources that card did 50,000 and Showtime production ,who has no bias, said card did 70,000 buys. So out of these 3 why are people going with believing Coppinger's higher numbers? My guess is Showtime Production is the number to believe.

The UFC has been a more consistent PPV draw for a long time now.
The past era there were only 3 big pay per view stars. Paq, Mayweather, and Cotto. Not even the heavyweight champ Vlad could do big ppv numbers.

I used to keep track of ppv buys and after that period, where UFC got hot, they cooled off a bit but their average ppv's were still doing solid 200-400k number and they'd have big ones for Brock Lesnar or whoever else became big.

Boxing up to that point had been the same, big Numbers for a few guys like Tyson or De La Hoya and steady numbers for the next tier down. Stuff like Vargas vs Mosley, for example, in 2006 could still get 400k buys and that was 2 guys considered to be over the hill. If the Charlos were fighting then they probably could do 300-400k but no one is in boxing anymore. If I could pinpoint any particular moment in time where UFC overtook boxing it'd be that Couture/Liddell/Ortiz rivalry than drummed up a lot of interest.
Boxing shot itself in the foot and it is the Charlo's own fault for not fighting the best available fighters. Since they have come on the scene they have fought a bunch of f, d, and c level fighters and yet they expect people to suddenly know them and shell out $80 for their ppv.

Haymon is to blame for the fall of boxing. He signed so many fighters that most just sat on the sidelines lucky to get one fight per year. And his most well known fighters only fought safe, low level opponents for years.

When Haymon wen to tv he blew it. Instead of focusing on putting on exciting cards with the best fighting the best his focus was instead on trying to monopolize tv and in doing so he spread himself too thin. He had so many tv deals that no one knew what fight was on what channel and at what time. And if someone was lucky to find the fight it was usually a match that no one wanted and know one cared about. He showed nothing but a bunch of showcase fights that were not interesting. He had a few decent fight but not enough to sustain anyone's interest.

Ever since he failed at his tv venture boxing has not recovered. One cannot underestimate how much of a failure it was and how much it damaged boxing.

The issue is the product. Even though the Charlo’s stepped up competition.....nobody cares about boxing.

Boxing always coming out with excuses and it won’t get better for any of these future PPV stars. What other PPV fights can Charlo’s,Tank and even Spence make after their PPv fights in 2020?

Nobody at 160 is a ppv opponent other than Canelo and GGG.

154 nobody is ppv material as well.

Tank Davis won’t fight anybody in the top 15 in whatever division he wants to campaign. If it isn’t against Lomochenko,Lopez,Garcia,Haney nobody will care and even if he does fight those guys none of them are PPV material as well haha

Spence as well has no dance partner other than Crawford. I don’t want to see a rematch with Porter for the love of god that fight was sloppy in the 2nd half.

Not a PBC hater but the PBC model of making stars is terrible.
Since PBC came into existence they have not made one star. Arum and Golden Boy know how to make stars, but Haymon has always been a con man. He is Don King with a Harvard degree.

GGG is done, it showed in his last fight. The Canelo fights took too much out of him and his career is finished. The Charlos are good fighters but not stars. They languished fighting nobodies for too long and their growth as fighters was stunted due to this. They have decent power, decent speed, and average footwork, below average defense. They do nothing special that make the public say "wow".

If they fight Canelo they will easily lose. They have a good gimmick with the brothers being champions even though one was given a title instead of winning it in the ring. But twin title holders only gets people lightly interested. They eventually have to fight the best and beat them in exciting fashion and I do not ever see this happening. They might have a long title reign but it will be like Stevenson's at 175 and no one will remember or care about their reigns.
