Charlo did well against his first real test at 160lbs. It's a Good first step but lets not forget Devery has already been beaten twice.

It's good to see that the majority in here understand that being the best is not by self appointment. If Charlo wants to ACTUALLY be the best he first needs to ACTUALLY fight to be the best and win...

Both he and his brother struggle more with skilled boxers that can disrupt their timing and dictate pace (Korobov, Trout, Harrison, etc).

Both brothers are showing their mettle and I'd like to see Jermall in against Andrade and Jermell against Lara (or Castano). Wins would show me they can handle slick boxers.
Jermall in against Andrade and Jermell against Lara are both stylistic nightmare fights...for everyone involved.

Yeah Derevy gave GGG a harder time but he also looked far better in that fight. He wasn't gasping for breath at the end of the 4th round against GGG either. Unfortunately all of the best boxers have already grown old or left the 160lb division. Doubt Canelo will be coming back to 160 anytime soon.

Good fight and all that, he got the job done and convincingly so in my opinion. But let's be honest, he showed nothing exceptional. The only reason he had an easier time than Golovkin was purely down to size. Let's not get carried away now.

I would bet Jermall beats both Jacobs and Andrade. People keep giving Andrade respect all I see out of Andrade is an akward sloppy southpaw who has been erroneously labeled 'slick' like too many other fighters now a days. He constantly lunges in with his punches and leaves himself open for counters and his footwork is slow. I'll bet whatever dollar amount you want if the fight happens Charlo will stop Andrade.

Wasn't his best night that night.

GGG is the man at 160, despite the gift decision Canelo got. Charlo would get stopped.

Get stopped? HHH is shop worn and beyond his prime. He lost to non elite Dervy. He lost to Jacobs and he lost to Canelo. You truly think prime Charlo loses to over the hill HHH?

HBO did a magnificent job hyping up HHH until he stepped in with elite competition.

It is a play off WWE wraslter HHH. Since HHH is an actor of hype and drama he’s akin to GGG. Instead of simply calling him Gennady Golovkin the HBO hype train decided to jump on the wagon and keep coining him GGG. Every other word of every broadcast was GGG. Great boxer but to me doesn’t come close to greats of the past at MW. In fact I don’t have him in the top 20 all time great middleweights.

I agree. Derevyanchenko gave Jermall Charlo the toughest fight of his career. Up until now; No one has ever been able to back Mall up on the ropes the way Sergiy did.

Mall was just too big and strong for Derevyanchenko. However, the scariest part of it is that Jermall Charlo did not appear to try that hard. He aas very poised and calm.

he refused to get ****** him into firefight with the much smaller Derev
