Inferior relative to GGG's. I have always liked Charlo and his jab but I gotta be honest, I did not see what others were seeing tonight apparently.

Charlo's jab and check hooks and uppercuts on the inside won him the fight. He hurt SD multiple times and landed the sharper shots. I was being generous and at best I saw 7-5 Charlo. The 118-110 scorecard was too wide but consensus was around 8-4 Charlo which was about right.

As for Charlo vs GGG? That's definitely a fight where there will be a lot of close rounds. But I just see PBC getting Charlo either Plant or Benavidez in 2021 or early 2022. They don't have much at 160. Depending on DAZN's future, maybe the Andrade fight could happen.
I hate that GGG has held his career hostage for Canelo, but at the same time, money talks, so I get it. But yeah it's a shame we don't have 1 promoter in boxing sometimes - then we could get some type of MW or SMW tourney now with some great matchups. Would love to see GGG-Andrade. Even if GGG is shot, odds are Andrade can't hurt him too bad anyway even with a win.

I saw Sergei's face. So I assume something was working. And Charlo definitely landed some big shots. But yeah I was expecting a lot more honestly based on what I was reading. I honestly think Culcay did better vs Sergei than all 3 of the big boys.

The stream I just watched was zoomed in kind of close so maybe I'll give it another look sometime if I find a different stream.

I felt like this fight was very similar to Korobov-Charlo, except I felt Charlo won vs Matey 7-5 (or 6-6), and I had this the opposite for Sergei. Had it 4-4 through 8 and I felt the last 4 were all clear - 9 for Charlo and 10-12 for Sergei. If I missed something in those last 3 for example would be all ears to hear it.

      FOTY written all over it.
      Golovkin stops him late.

I got Charlo. GGG is washed up now. His best days are now behind him. I thought Charlo could have gotten Derevyanchenko outta there tonight if really wanted to.

However, he appeared to be holding back because he was advised by his trainer Ronnie Shields to stick to the game plan by sticking and moving behind the one two while avoiding the exchanges with Sergiy.

Therefore, he fought a very tactical, disciplined and cautious fight. The fight that I want to see is Canelo vs Jermell Charlo. I believe Mell has the right style to beat Alvarez with that ambush style of his.

GGG would (if he is smart) establish his jab vs Jermall and probably control the fight from there. If he has to reach to touch Jermall then Jermall could land something big and hurt him. If GGG pushes a strong pace, I think he will hold up better in the later rounds and Charlo could be in a bit of trouble in those later rounds. I think GGG has a great judge of distance with his jab, he touched Canelo with it all night long both fights, and against Jacobs too.

I don't see Charlo's jab on the same level. I think GGG establishes the jab and boxes behind that but even if he does he can't get complacent because Charlo is too explosive and dangerous and could potentially catch an aging GGG and hurt him.

Was hoping to see a bit more power from Jermall tonight but he showed a lot tonight anyway and he is a factor vs anyone at 160.

Hope we get some more good fights with all these guys at 160 and 168. I will grant them 1 easy, 1 hard but that should be the formula. If GGG wants 1 hard 2 easy that's fine at his age.

It will be similar to Jacobs-GGG. I think Charlo gets dropped early, then outboxes GGG. But unlike Jacobs, he ends up getting the close decision.

Derv landed tons of body shots tonight

If it was GGG behind those punches Charlo would now be a vegetable

GGG has the power to KO Charlo but Charlo does not have the power to KO GGG

                    GGG by stoppage

It would be an exciting fight for sure and I hope we get to see it. I would pick Golovkin to win despite his age. Higher ring IQ, better jab (important, since Charlo is very busy with his) and Charlo is still a bit too easy to hit IMO. Derevyanchenko was landing the straight right from his one-two all night long, he almost couldn't miss with it but he just didn't have enough pop to make it fight-changing.

Also, Charlo doesn't really push the pace and fight with urgency, he's quite patient with his output which would suit the 38 year old Golovkin.
