Roy would give away rounds because he didn’t want to exert energy.
I don't know what fight you watched, but Griffin won most of the rounds and frustrating jones. Even the 1st knockdown, he was winning the round and it wasn't evne a real knockdown. The 2nd kockdown was though. He was making Roy look very average. And truthfully, I picked Griffin to win that fight . NO lie, I told everyone that friday before the fight that griffin was gonna win due to styles. The rematch, he was just afraid. It should have been an easier fight because Roy was leaving himself open for counters that he didn't capitalize on but he was looking for a way out. I don't think roy's last uppercut on him was enough for him to act like Trevor Berbick.Tarver was hitting him harder than that for 12 rounds knocking him all over the place and he fought til the end.

Given his height, Montell was incredible.
He literally did beat Toney twice.

Neither were robberies so he got two close, either way decisions.

He was good, but not as good as those two.
A lot of people also thought Griffin won both. So what’s your point?

Very good fighter, I always say he was incredibly underrated.

The Roy Jones win looks great on paper but he won on a technicality in reality, still gave a peak Jones a lot of problems though.

I thought Toney was unlucky not to get the nod in at least one of the fights too but Griffin performed well in both.

I thought he was outboxing Dariusz until he got caught as well.

He proved in those three fights he could mix it with the very best.

Wasn’t there some terrible scorecards though?

Didn’t they have Griffin winning like 11 rounds or something silly like that. I remember thinking the fix was in.

Just the one scorecard was bad. In the rematch.

The other 5 across the two fights were fine.

That scorecard was terrible and I did have Toney winning the rematch but it was a close fight either way.

Yeah I remember there being at least one crazy card.

I had Griffin winning the first fight and Toney winning the rematch too.
