    - -Roy #5 Ring ranked and Popkins still p4p ranked and settled in at LH when Joe made his US&LH debut.

Sent Poppy to the canvas yelping like a kicked cur.

he didn't fight everyone. ottke and calzaghe both got 21 title deefnses at the same time in the same division so thats not fighting everyone. that was the main guy for most of his career lol and he didnt fight him. also remember how he ducked glen johnson multiple times?

he didnt clearly win every fight. lots thought he lost to robin reid. also i think the bika fight you could make a case he deserved to lose. if you really watch that fight bika was connecting on the much better punches but i havent studied it so im not going to die on that hill. also he definitely lost to hopkins as he just couldnt land anything clean while running into punches but maybe you were referring to just 168.

a still good jones? hmmm no. hopkins was still good yes but once again he lost that one

            - -But Zag was jus Kid Joe in the beginning, and Eubank a legend good enough to force the kid thru his paces.

Ricardo Lopez's resume of current, former or future champs and good contenders:
Rosendo Álvarez, Hideyuki Ohashi, Alex Sánchez and Will Grigsby were current champs.
Saman Sorjaturong, Rocky Lin, Anucha Phothong, Manny Melchor, Kermin Guardia, Kyung Yung Lee and Zolani Petelo we're all former or future champs.
Andy Tabanas, Pretty Boy Lucas, Mongkol Charoen, Kwang Soo Oh were good contenders.

Joe Calzaghe's resume of current, former or future champs and good contenders:
Bernard Hopkins, Mikkel Kessler, Jeff Lacy and Chris Eubank were current champs.
Roy Jones Jr, Sakio Bika, Robin Reid, Richie Woodhall, Charles Brewer and Byron Mitchell were former or future champs.
Peter Manfredo, Mario Veit, Omar Sheika and David Starie were good contenders.

All in all I'd say both guys have good resumes given that they beaten the same amount of top fighters (15 each by my count) and other assorted fringe contenders. Both were technically excellent but Lopez more dominant. Calzaghe you could argue fought greater fighters but the lower weights are maligned by a lack of attention and appreciation for the talent of the fighters there.
I'd just about edge it to Calzaghe for beating a legit ATG in Hopkins in a tough fight.

Ricardo Finto Lopez aesthetically is one of the finest boxers to ever live. If you want to model a style, model Finito's.

It's not even close, Finito is one of the top 25 greatest fighters of all time p4p

He did lose the first fight against Rosendo Bufalo Alvarez though.

I'll ask again, what HOFers did Lopez fight? I can't remember even one.

easily lopez, joe was hiding behind a non -recognised title for years, only came out to fight for recognised ones 4 times.

But dont get me wrong, 4 times is still good.
dont anyone embarass themselves by asking what 40something HoFers Lopez faced.

its a bit embarrassing how joe dumped the ibf title after one defence when he found out he was going to keep getting stiff tests like bika.
makes you wonder how long he would have lasted defended an actual title not the wbo 90s stitch up.
