I'd like Floyd to get a chance. Don't think his reading skills actually matter as he would be analyzing the fight and fighters from his treasure trove of knowledge. Floyd may lack a formal education but he is very intelligent and would absolutely know his subject. Where he might fail is in his persona although I'm not saying he would. Give him a chance and then we'll know.

I mean his boxing IQ is second to none and he probably sees things most people don't, but his stuttering just isn't for commentating

Reading books is different than reading what goes on inside the ring:

All you can read yet most of you are clueless about boxing tactics and techniques

Floyd would talk clearly if he kept practicing on the mic

His strength explaining techniques to viewers.

The check hook concept was made popular to casuals when Floyd spoke about it

Maybe. He would be much better than Ward and Bradley because they both stink in my opinion. Mayweather knows boxing like few others and if they paid him lots of money I think he would do a good job as a commentator.
