No. I think great boxers rarely make good commentators. And honestly I don't even think RJJ & George were that good. RJJ talked about himself too much, like I suspect Floyd would do. And George was more self effacing, but he said a lot of dumb ass bs.

Paulie is good. Tim is surprisingly getting better n better. Don't think I thought he'd be good at it early on. Ward might be the best commentator for a tip top caliber guy doe. He's a super humble cat & obviously has that situational knowledge only a boxer could have that he is able to put into words quite well compared to other boxers.

Floyd will probably be best at promoting & training in outside the ring boxing jobs not technical talk for viewers.

I actually think AJ is alright when he commentated on one of the Whyte Chisora fights.

Having seen him give instructions to other boxers he seems very good about breaking down why certain things are done without getting overly emotional. He has also talked about how he likes watching other fighters growing up that had different styles so I am sure he has an appreciation for all styles.

Or he could just be terrible on the microphone but I have a hard time thinking so. He is so used to talking in public that he might have a smooth transition.
