Canelos win over Kova vs Lomas win over Rigo

Here’s how you know the haters are full of it.

Ask them how they rate Lomas win over a 36 yr old Rigo and the majority will say AMAZING!!!!

Yet Rigo was the much smaller man moving up, ancient for his weight much more than Kova was, was clearly declining but they mention nothing of that.

In boxing A 36 yr old bantamweight is a dinosaur compared to a 35 yr old LHW.

They gave Loma full credit yet are still sadly in denial of Canelo beautiful destruction of the much bigger Kova.

How many here will man up and call it how it is?

What about mental state? Your comparison is totally unfair to Rigondeaux, but we have to give answers anyway...

Rigo had trouble signing good fighters to fight him, he dare to be great to go against one of the most skilled p4p in boxing; Canelo handpicked an alcoholic with legal troubles, I bet they didn't even have problems with the purse, meanwhile BJS and Callum Smith get all the bad rap from people, for canelo it was nothing to let go another couple of millions to those bastards, he just needed an excuse to not fight them...

        hahahahaha

        Typical Canelo haters.

Rigo was 36 fucckin yrs old which anyone who knows boxing knows the lighter weights age much quicker than the higher weights Rigo was showing signs of decline and his only good win was against Donaire several years prior and on top of that he had to move up to Lomas weight lol

You guys are sad with you’re double standards.

It only goes for Canelo that’s how it works with you fake fans.

Had ggg been the one whooping Kova that night I guarantee you fake ass fans would have done nothing but praise Ggg for it.

        Facts!!!

Why don’t you guys just come out and admit the real reason you cheer for guys with names like atominov, khmovov, govikiviki etc.

I’ll have more respect for you trolls if ya just come out and be honest for you’re double standards.

Both wins are ones that sound better on paper than how they actually are.

            Typical European answer.

            Not surprised

But hell no Loma making a little guy at 36 yrs old move up is a garbage win.

Canelo had the balls to move up and whoop Kova.

People forget the context of that Loma fight against Rigo the same way they ignored what transpired in the Loma fight against Salido.

Rigo was the one chasing Loma. Loma gave him the chance. Loma won without even using his size advantage. Loma HIMSELF did not give himself credit and downplayed that win.

I gave Loma credit for shutting down Rigo's Twitter account. Never heard him again after that loss.

I disagee with you, ( and agree with you) it was a total mismatch, ans we all knew this before the fight..except perhaps frantic Rigondeaux worshippers.

Yes, he was 36, and old for a lighter weight. But he was special, had exceptional reflexes and a great boxing brain, as well as a huge punch. And, because of his tremendous skills had taken almost no punishment during his career.

Still, he was ABSOLUTELY NO MATCH for Lomachenko who was VERY special,(and refused to take any credit for winning) and I have NO idea as to why he accepted this fight when it was at 130, after rejecting it at 126. Money, maybe. He found it hard to get fights, just as Arum said. Arum tore his hair out over it. He said that when he brings up Rigondeaux's name the big guys turn away, because he is "not exciting" and he, Arum doesn't know any more, how to get him a good, well paying fight. I believe him. Arum always stands up for his fighters, unless they turn away from him as has happened a handful of times.

Alvarez' fight against Kovalev was a far greater achievement in my opinion, but only by comparison. Objectively, Kovalev was a drunkard, letting himself get well out of condition between fights, and was still not in proper shape for the Alvarez fight. But he was a top Light-heavy and Alvarez was coming up to his weight class. I believe he was up on the scorecards before he was KO'd, although not sure..

Both wanted that fight but of course it will look more like Rigo chased because he was the smaller guy moving up but it’s not like Loma said no I don’t wanna fight this guy because he’s smaller and 36 yrs old moving up.

Same thing with canelo he called out Kova for two reasons because contrary to what the haters wanna believe Kova was a champ and the best LHW after Ward left he was much more well known than the other guys in the division who no one knew how to even pronounce there names.

Kova was THE lhw everyone knew him and he was still a champ that’s why canelo chose him because the other guys wouldn’t have done squat for canelo being that they were no where near Kovas popularity and accomplishments.

Neither fight meant much but Loma at least had the integrity to acknowledge that fact.
